The message of the holiday season this time of the year is supposed to be peace and goodwill to all.

How do you, Dear Reader, express peace and good wishes to all for this holiday season?

Happy Holidays
Seasons Greetings
Happy Hanukah
Merry Christmas
Kala Hristougena
Sookl Sanr Wanm Khith Maatf
Mele Kalikimaka
Feliz Navidad
Kwanzaa
Happy New Year
Hronia Polla
Sahwdee Piee Mai
Feliz Ano Nuevo

Peace and Goodwill to all.

So let’s not get picky at minor topics.  It matters more your message expressing your good sentiment rather than whether you transliterate your spelling ‘correctly’ from one alphabet to another.

‘Christians, the reign of peace would have broken out.  Forgive me, I do not see peace.  Jesus would not have been the Messiah.  Look at your world.  There are wars.  There is suffering.’

  • Nachmanides (Barcelona Disputations, 23 Jul 1263)

Editor:

There is little ‘peace’ and goodwill today.

The problem for current Christians is that Jesus your Messiah came 2000 years ago, but you did not change your world as Jesus admonished you to do.  Neither did Islam, your Abrahamic religion’s successor, nor your subsequent prophet Mohamed 1300 years ago.

You, Christians tell us that Jesus, your ‘Prince of Peace’, came to bring world ‘peace’.

You, Muslims, tell us that your prophet Mohamed came to bring world ‘peace’.

Where is your ‘peace’?

We instead hear your self-admitted Christian Con-servative Amerikan Taliban Crooked Drumpf beating his sounds of world war while his Republi-con cohorts oppress the common people in favour of their wealthy friends and corporations.

We experience the over-flow of Islamic violence and murder from the conflicts among Shia, Sunni, ISIS, and so many Islamic sects, with their folly of martyrdom to fullfill their misogynist desire for ’72 virgins’.

Christmas Day news reported that Pope Francis called for ‘peace’ and co-operation among religions in the Middle East.  A lotta good that meant.  News sources reported that Muslims in Israel have murdered at least 24 Christians and Jews during the past 10 days and that ISIS slaughtered another 20 non-Muslim people at Kabul.

Christian and Muslim are not the only religions that this Editor notices their hypocrisy of ‘peace’.  We of the world community are also witness to Myanmar Buddhists committing their genocide against the Rohingya Muslims of their nation.

<*>

Muslims claim that ‘Islam’ is their word for ‘peace’; this Editor hears the same Muslims say that ‘Islam’ is their word for ‘submission’.

‘Peace’?

‘Submission’?

What follows is Islamic ‘peace’ and ‘submission’ as they profess it in today’s world:

‘Mesopotamia was the birthplace of mathematics, writing, agriculture, and recently the scene of battles against ISIS.

Mar Behnam Monestary was occupied and defaced by ISIS.  ISIS Muslims want to destroy everything Christian.  They want to delete history.  To say there were no Christians, nothing before Islam.

Mar Behnam Monastery was sacred to both Christians and Muslims in Medieval times.  It amassed a collection of manuscripts dating to the 12th Century.  That collection of precious hand-written books, including Bibles and scientific works written centuries ago, was one thing that could not be replaced if destroyed by ISIS’s occupation.

More than 500 works are now protected in Erbil, Kurdistan.  One find is a copy of a 7th Century mandate from the Prophet Mohamed that says Christians will be protected by Muslims and allowed to practice their relligion.  The whole Middle East was once characterised by pluralism of different peoples, different religions co-existing.

Christian monks are working to protect these very documents that ISIS is working to destroy.  There’s a real war over these books.  ISIS in Northern Iraq caused Christians and Yazidis to flee in desperation.  Qaraqosh was attacked, 50.000 were driven out on foot in days. They and the monks carrying these books raced to the safety of Kurdistan as ISIS chased them.

The monks were not able to save all their books.  ISIS  burned what was left behind in Qaraqosh – 40.000 books in the Library.  ISIS torched them all.

Among the books rescued is a fragment of the New Testament written about the year 500 written in Old Aramaic, the language of Jesus Christ.

Some of those rescued books are purely history that tell us about political events.  It’s the history of every aspect of life.  Including a tax receipt from the Roman Empire in 222 for the purchase of military equipment.

The Library at the University of Mosul – once among the finest in the Middle East – was reduced to rubble.  Totally devastated.  ISIS did their damage, burned their books, destroyed the building.  This Library used to hold a million books and a collection of ancient maps and manuscripts.

In this Age of Intolerance, there are very few Christians left in Iraq.  They fled to Qaraqosh.  What will always remain – thanks to the works of Father Columba and Father Najeeb – is a written record of their history and heritage.’

  • CBS ’60 Minutes’ (‘Delivered From Evil’, 24 Dec 17)

Editor:

That report says quite a bit about Islamic religious hatred and the deliberate full-scale efforts to destroy history by Islamic fanatics and extremists.

Islamic ISIS has been destroying world history and education from their own environment in an obvious way.  How can you assert that you are followers of your Prophet Mohamed?  You are going against your own Prophet Mohamed’s mandate; you are hypocrites when you murder Jews and Christians and you destroy your holy books and learned books of history and science kept in your libraries.

Reagan and now Crooked Drumpf and his right-wing Republi-con Christian Con-servative evangelical fundamentalist Amerikan Taliban have been slowly, deviously destroying our American educational system by removing history and government from our public school systems, by buying book publishing corporations and slowly changing the content of books and texts to suit their small-minded religious and political doctrine.

Remember, Republi-cons hold blood on their hands.  Reagan used American finance, training, arms to support the Taliban throughout his presidency.  Senator John McCain’s call to ‘Arm the rebels!’ of Syria was his demand that President Obama arm ISIS; Obama refused that demand.

There will come a day under Crooked Drumpf or his successor when we Liberals shall be called to rescue our American nation’s libraries from the clutches of the right-wing Republi-con Christian Con-servative evangelical fundamentalist Amerikan Taliban much the same as did Father Columba and Father Najeeb Michaeel rescue their libraries from ISIS.

<*>

A retrospective quote from this past Summer relating to ‘peace’.

‘Every political assassination done in America has been by a Liberal.  There was John Wilkes Boothe.’

  • Lars Larsen, R (23 Jun 17, his radio show)

>

Editor:

Well, of ‘every assassination’ that Larsen asserted, he could only identify Boothe assassinating Lincoln.  Of course, every school child knows better than Larsen.  Boothe and his conspirators were Southern Confederate Cessessionists, bigots, prejudicial against the Negro population whom they held in captive slavery.  Hardly ‘Liberal’, more like Conservative to the extreme con-servtive; ‘Libertarian’ and right-wing ‘sovereign citizen’ types in today’s definition.

How about actual right-wing assassins within our recent lifetimes:

  • 1960s Freedom Riders were attacked and some assassinated by White supremist right-wing Southern Segregationists.
  • President John Kennedy was assassinated by right-wing CIA and mafioso.
  • Malcolm X was assassinated by White right-wing Southern segregationists.
  • Rev Martin Luther King was assassinated by a White Supremist.
  • Senator Robert Kennedy was assassinated by an anti-Jewish right-wing Arab Islamic extremist.
  • The assassination attempt on Rep Gabbi Giffords and resulting mass murder was committed by a man influenced by Christian Con-servative nright-wing radio hate speech.
  • Mass murders in the USA are committed by White supremists, Christian Conservatives, Islamic fundamentalists.
  • ‘White supremicists are responsible for 74% of terrorist attacks and killings in the last 10 years.’  (CBS ’60 Minutes’ , 17 Dec 17).

Not a ‘Liberal’ killer in that bunch, but plenty of Liberals murdered by White Supremicists, Neo-NAZIs, Alt-right, Christian Con-servative evangelical fundamentalist Amerikan Taliban, Southern segregationists – Republikans all -and their Islamic fanatical counterparts.

<*>() Jesus Love Gays

As an old-timer who transitioned during the 1970s, this Editor recalls that laws were detrimental to married couples whose partner was Trans.

This Editor was not active with Trans support groups til 2015.  I have no personal experience with Trans persons being subjected to those antiquated laws before Marriage Equality.  I suspect that anti-Equality laws were a major obstacle, an obstacle that has been lifted from married couples who can better focus on their personal advancement.

The old laws specified that marriage was only between one man and one woman.  ‘Gay marriage’ was illegal.

State laws varied.  Extreme laws prohibited any transition until the partners divorced, less severe were laws that prohibited various degrees of transition advancement or surgery until proof of divorce.  If I recall correctly, Stanford’s California guidelines required patients to present divorce papers before surgery.

Republi-cons and Christian Con-servatives who proclaim themselves the ‘family’ party, who decry ‘Big Guh’mint’, are the ones who duplicitously imposed these anti-Equality laws – laws that imposed divorce upon Trans marriages, laws that divided and destroyed Trans families.

Marriage Equality has been a boon for Trans families.  We in the Trans community need to be aware how much the Marriage Equality decision has brought to our benefit.

Right-wing Republi-con Christian Con-servative ‘Big Guh’mint’ imposing their divorce laws is no longer an issue.  Married couples who have a Trans partner remain married, families remain intact.  Trans persons are getting married.

Not for long!

‘Elections have consequences.’  Your vote in these elections have consequences affecting your life – now and in the decades to come.

Crooked Drumpf and his Merry Band of Republi-con Senators have been packing federal courts with their right-wing Republi-con Christian Con-servative evangelical fundamentalist Amerikan Taliban.  They are doing it in record numbers.  Those appointees are refusing to abide by Marriage Equality laws – they are blatantly denying Constitutional Rights to Trans families.  Too late for you to do anything about it.  You voted for Republi-cons in 2016.  You voted for Crooked Drumpf in 2016.  You allowed Crooked Drumpf to appoint judges who will continue churning out their anti-Trans, anti-LGBT decisions for the next 40 years.

All is not well, tweaking remains, but not likely in our political climate.  For one, Arizona law denies the married partners the opportunity to change their name on their Marriage Certificate.  Instead, the married partners must pursue a divorce decree then re-marry under the new name.  This complication seems to be more a money-making scheme for the State and the lawyers who practice marital law rather than for the simplicity of the results.  Birth Certificates can be changed, DMV licences can be changed, business licences can be changed.  Why the obstacle for Marriage licences?

How is your state?  How is it at your nation if you do not reside in the USA?  What can you do to resolve discrimination?

Okay, I have never been married, not even close.  That does not mean that I lack my own concept of marriage.  To me, marriage is a monogamous commitment with another person.  We love the other person for whom they are – not their physical shell – be they cis, trans, inter-sex, Gay, Lesbian, Bi-, Pan-.  Marital intimacy?  Well, the partners will find their own.  It is no one else’s business!  They do not need religious and political fanatics intruding into their private personal lives as right-wing Christian Con-servative and Islamic evangelical fundamentalist Amerikan Taliban are wont to do.

Allow this episode’s present wrapt in a bow.

Thank you, Dear Reader, for visiting today.

Enjoy your holiday season – whatever you call it:  ‘Peace be with you.’

Please return next time (next year) for more excitement.

Meanwhile, Pat Robertson can celebrate that the ‘War against Christmas’ is ended!

Let there be parades with Miss Whatever, kids riding in steel drums,  fire trucks decked in tinsel and colored light bulbs while Robertson presents a stocking decorated with snowflakes – all perfect Christian symbols of Jesus Christ, his Messiah, whom he ignores the teachings of peace.

Let’s take a read at what passed for political dialogue this past Sunday.

Not so funny – Republi-cons prove they are really messed up.

‘They’re spending millions and millions of Dollars.  I have nothing to do with Russia.’  ‘It’s a witch-hunt, a Democratic hoax.’  ‘The FBI is in tatters.’

  • Donald Trump, R (ABC ‘This Week’, 17 Dec 17)

‘Mueller has obtained thousands of e-mails from Trump’s transition.’  ‘Trump has a new line of attack against Mueller.  Trump is accusing the GSA of breaking the law handing over to the Special Counsel his e-mails, lap-tops, cell phones.  The President is looking for a pretext to fire Mueller.  Putin called Trump to thank him for a CIA tip to foil a terrorist plot.’

‘Who benefits from Trump’s ‘tax cuts’?  The bill slashes the corporate taxes, a win for corporations.  Americans making $75.000 or less per year will be paying more in taxes during the next decade.  Corporate tax cuts are permanent.’

‘Trick Palin was arrested again on charges of domestic violence, felony burglary, assault, and criminal property damage.  Palin was also arrested last year – punching and kicking his girlfriend.  Sarah Palin suggests her son suffers from PTSD after coming back from Iraq,’

  • ABC News (17 Dec 17)

‘The mid-term map favours Republikans.  GOP sees the ‘tax reform’ bill as their insurance policy.  But big winners from the bill are corporations and the wealthy.  It is among the most unpopular in years.  Last-minute tax breaks slipt in could bring millions of Dollars to Trump and others through real estate LLCs.  It’s an un-conscienable windfall.  Why was it included in the last minute?’   ‘Republikans want to repeal the Obama-care mandate.’  ‘How does this Republikan ‘tax reform’ personally benefit Trump?’  ‘Republikan Congressional districts are protected by Gerrymandering.’

  • ABC ‘This Week’ (17 Dec 17)

‘This is the first ‘tax reform’ in 30 years.  It’s a thousand-page bill.’

  • Senator John Cornyn, R (ABC ‘This Week’, 17 Dec 17)

‘There was no economic growth following the Reagan 1986 tax bill.’  ‘Republikans have a Trump problem in regard to harassment and sexual assault against women.’

  • John Dowd, R (ABC ‘This Week’, 17 Dec 17)

‘It’s not a perfect bill.  There are provisions that shouldn’t be in there.’  ‘Trump’s support for Moore was calculated.  Moore denied his allegations.  Trump denies his allegations.  Trump had to support Moore, otherwise he admits allegations against him are true.  These sexual harassment allegations are a PR head-ache.’

  • Sara Fagen, R (ABC ‘This Week’, 17 Dec 17)

‘There’s not much for the Middle Class in Trump’s ‘tax reform’ bill.  The stock market isn’t wages.  How soon will we see wages going up?  Trump’s economic advisor says not in 10 years.  This benefit of wages going up is being sold as a Christmas present – ‘Happy days are here again!’.  Trump campaigned on ‘draining the swamp’.  More than half the Washington lobbyists worked on Trump’s ‘tax reform’ bill.  The hedge fund loophole is still in there.’  ‘Tax breaks will expire for individual tax payers while they are made permanent for corporations, that’s the way Washington works.  Republikans say there will be automatic cuts for MediCare.’  ‘Corker opposed the Senate ‘tax reform’ bill because it increases the debt, now he supports it.’  ‘This tax bill is gonna pass, gonna get signed by Trump.  Polling for this Republikan tax bill is not good.  Trump ran against Wall Street and now talks about the health of Wall Street.’  ‘Let’s not over-read Alabama.  ‘

  • John Dickerson, R (CBS ‘Face the Nation’, 17 Dec 17)

‘From a truth-in-advertising standpoint it would have been a lot simpler to acknowledge the reality that this tax bill is fundamentally a corporate tax reduction and restructuring bill.’

  • Mark Sanford, R (CBS ‘Face the Nation’, 17 Dec 17)

‘This is a historic event,  The biggest change to fix a broken tax system.  We’re gonna bring in trillions of Dollars and you’re gonna see wages going up.  The stock market is at record highs.  Trump likes the bill, it effects real estate developers.’

  • Steve Mnuchin, R (CBS ‘Face the Nation’, 17 Dec 17)

‘Big winners in ‘tax reform’ are corporations.  Tax cuts for personal taxes are temporary.  Some personal taxes may be more right away.  Tax code is complicated because the world is complicated.  Trump’s campaign promises got jettisoned as they met reality.  His desire was to just pass something.  Trump pushed his promises aside.  Republikans who opposed Trump’s ‘tax reform’ now are voting for it just because it’s something to vote for going into the elections even though it is unpopular among Republikans.  Corporate lobbyists have been pushing for lower tax rates; they are really happy with Trump getting it done.’

  • Richard Rubin, R (CBS ‘Face the Nation’, 17 Dec 17)

‘This ‘tax reform’ takes a pretty bad year for Trump and makes it to a not-so-bad year.  This tax bill is a legislative victory.  It’s not popular with America.  There’s his tweeting, his race-baiting.  Trump has a learning curve how to behave as president.  There’s no guarantee he is learning.’

  • Jeffrey Goldberg, R (CBS ‘Face the Nation’, 17 Dec 17)

‘The economy is doing well, but it is not translating into voter approval for Trump and the Republikan Party in power.  Are they focusing on the President’s temperment?  His behaviour?  Trump’s policies are out-of-step with mainstream – environment, labor standards, you can go down the list.  Conservatives should be happy.  Rolling back Obama.  Reluctant Trump voters are souring on Trump.  They are not energised to Trump.’

  • Amy Walter, R (CBS ‘Face the Nation’, 17 Dec 17)

‘Republikans are confident on this measure.  Trump’s tax bill is unpopular.  Their taxes will actually go up, not down.  Democrats will be wanting to talk about getting this president – getting him out of office.  Look what Trump gave to corporations.  Trump offers his voters a circus.  He delivers on the entertainment to his voters, without delivering on his Populist promises.  You see it with his tax bill.’  ‘Republikans worried that if Moore got in, there would be no way to get rid of him.  Moore was a politician no one liked but he could have won.  Moore was a con-servative candidate.’

  • Ben Domenech, R (CBS ‘Face the Nation’, 17 Dec 17)

‘Trump is crying foul that Mueller is breaking the law through the GSA.  That the Special Counsel has used unlawfull materials and e-mails in question.  Trump is poised to act to fire Mueller.’

‘Biggest winners of the tax bill are the corporations, the wealthy.  It is politically important for Trump to have a victory.  The only meaningfull piece of legislation in 2017, but unpopular.’

‘CHIP funds run out in January.  But Republikans can’t agree to fund it, that current funding it is too high.’

  • CBS News (17 Dec 17)

(a)  ‘Too Big To Prosecute’:

‘A disturbing story of Washington at its worst – the opioid addiction crisis, the inside story about the DEA case against McKesson, a company too big to prosecute.

Investigators built a powerfull case against McKesson but investigators hit a brick wall when they tried to hold McKesson accountable.  McKesson had made billions from the distribution of opioids.  This is a national problem and no one wants to deal with it.

McKesson agreed to pay $2.3 million in fines in 2008 and promised to do a better job.  Now investigators caught McKesson shipping to fronts for criminal gangs and organised crime that are killing people for their financial gain.  McKesson was turning a blind eye to the opioid problem.  No order was ever suspicious.  McKesson rigged the system distributing addictive opioids.  McKesson supplied controlled substances to pharmacies in support of criminal activities.

DEA wanted to fine McKesson and put McKesson executives behind bars.  But DEA retreated going againt McKesson lawyers because the case would take time and effort.  DEA was scared and intimidated by McKesson.  DEA and Congress were bending to the pharmaceutical industry – wanting to take a softer approach to the pharmaceutical industry.  Instead of billion Dollar fines that DEA wanted, only a $150 million fine.  McKesson was getting special treatment from DEA lawyers who refused to go to court.

That $150 million fine was little more than McKesson CEO Hammergren’s pay; McKesson makes $100 million profits every week.  DEA attourneys went easy on McKesson.  This year, McKesson voted to award a $1.1 million performance bonus to CEO Hammergren based on his ethics and accountablilty.’

(b)  ‘An American Terrorist’:

‘White supremicists see ‘diversity’ as code for ‘White genocide’.’

‘The mind-set and tactics of White supremicists with shaved heads and swastika tattoos decided to grow their hair, get jobs in law enforcement, join the military to get training and recruit there.  Which is why it was hard to spot them at Charlottesville.  Now they look like White kids with polo shirts and khakis – a fraternity scene.  But they’re holding tiki torches and talking about how Jews are responsible for the ills in our society.  They are racists, anti-immigrant, misogynist.  They look like our kids, but they are the face of hate in our country.

White supremicists are responsible for 74% of terrorist attacks and killings in the last 10 years.  The most notorious White supremicist of our time was Dylan Roof who murdered nine members of a Bible study.  The movement puts all the blame on Jewish people.’

  • Chris Wallace, R (Fox News Sunday, 17 Dec 17)

‘This pass-through legislation fixes a broken tax system.  There will always be people who complain losing on the tax breaks.  Americans will no longer have thousands of pages of tax forms to fill out.  There’s a trillion and a half of tax cuts.  We could have 6% GDP growth.  We seen it in the stock market at record highs.  Trump’s ‘tax reform’ is fixing a broken tax system.’

‘The Democratic enthusiasm is higher than Republikan.  The Alabama candidate was accused of child molestation; Republikans were less than enthusiastic.  It hit New Jersey, Virginia, Alabama.’

‘Now we have Trump e-mails.  Trump is trying to lay the groundwork to de-legitimise the Mueller investigation.  They have yet to dis-credit the investigation with disputed claims or exculpatory evidence.  Trump can only imply innuendo.  He hasn’t disputed any facts, disputed any conclusions.  Trump has only his base and his media organ.’

‘Mueller is widely respected.  Trump says that he has no plans to fire Mueller.’

‘People of Alabama are relieved Moore is gone.  Trump’s tax bill is supported by only Republikans.  Democrats hold a double-digit lead over Republikans.  Just 48% of Alabama supports Trump.  Republikans blame Moore.’  ‘If Trump’s tax bill is so good for the Middle Class. then why s it so unpopular?  Trump made promises to ‘tax reform’ that he can’t keep.  His promises were not true.  He benefits from ‘tax reform’.  The singular benefit is corporate tax relief.  Ryan wants ‘entitlement reform’.  Republikans sought to cut Obama-care and MedicAid.’  ‘Would Republikans say the same of Moore had he won?  Republikans are very quick to point out Moore’s flaws.’  ‘The Republikans have an effort to de-legitimise the Mueller investigation.  Republikans say this thing is rigged.  They don’t have any facts.’

  • Chuck Todd, R (NBC ‘Meet the Press’, 17 Dec 17)

‘The corporate tax rate needed to come down.  My concern is the debt.  It will not pay for itself.  The debt slows the economy down.’  ‘I’m always proud to be Republikan.  Some in the Party are angry, small, turning off Millenials, Dreamers, DACA, eliminating Obama-care.  We are small, narrow.’  ‘Trump is carried away with bluster and nuclear war.  It is not right, not correct foreign policy.  We’ve not put pressure on China and North Korea.’

  • Governor John Kasich, R-Ohio (NBC ‘Meet the Press’, 17 Dec 17)

‘Self-interest is in American politics.  Trump’s base is enthusiastic for him.  Bannon failed, but Moore came close.’  ‘Republikans took a 70 thousand page tax code and made it more complicated.  Corporate taxes are zero – they are passed on to employees and customers.  The whole thing here is ‘Pass this thing’.’  ‘Independent Counsel is a bad idea.’

  • George Will, R (NBC ‘Meet the Press’, 17 Dec 17)

‘Flawed candidates are too much in our history.  Alabama was an anomaly.’  ‘We got to be a big believer in corporate ‘tax reform’.  We got a long way to go.’  ‘Manafort is suspect.  Two pled guilty.  Mueller’s indictments have been on point.  Republikans are undermining our basics of Democracy.’

  • Al Cardenas, R (NBC ‘Meet the Press’, 17 Dec 17)

‘Trump provides corporate tax relief.  Senate rules are arcane.  This is real ‘tax reform’ since 1986.’  ‘Moore was a deeply flawed candidate.’  ‘There’s no way Trump will fire Mueller.’

  • Marc Short, R (NBC ‘Meet the Press’, 17 Dec 17)

‘Gen X is a fluorchemical manufactured in Nortth Carolina.  It has been discharged as a wastewater into the Cape Fear River since 1980 and not til this year did North Carolina residents learn about it.  A front page news story caused an uproar.

Gen X is un-regulated, not tested in drinking water.  The Sweeney Treatment Center downriver does not filter out Gen X from the drinking water.  North Carolina sued Chemours for failing to disclose what they were dumping in their wasterwater.

Since 2013, 70 positions at North Carolina’s Department of Environmental Quality have been eliminated.

Residents downstream from Chemours learned that Gen X is in their drinking water.  Residents accuse Chemours that Gen X is causing thyroid disease.  Researchers found a probable link between PFOA and multiple diseases.  But the ‘goals’ to limit these chemicals is un-enforceable.  Two months ago one spill discharged at the Chemours plant caused levels of Gen X to spike to five times the state’s goals; Chemours did not report the spill.

Editor:

Always remember what Republi-con Brooks said more than a decade ago:

  • ‘We Republikans are good for only two things:  cutting our taxes and blaming Democrats.’

Crooked Drumpf ran against Wall Street, yet here we have him cheering the Wall Street bubble that his fake economy is creating.  Big corporations,  stockholders, and millionaires will be collecting on a huge tax give-away averaging $35 thousand per year, a combined $31 billion.  More than one-third of American business’ stock shares are owned by foreign stockholders; foreigners will reap the benefits of Crooked Drump’s ‘tax reform’.  Hedge fund managers retain their pass-through loopholes that Crooked Drumpf campaigned against but now supports.  This ‘tax reform’ bill adds tax cuts for real estate developers, gee, that includes windfalls for Crooked Drumpf.  It’s all in their ‘self-interest’.  What a co-incidence!() Great News For Elderly Parents

Meanwhile, tax increases for the rest of us – Americans who opposed Crooked Drumpf as well as all his Deplorable and Drumpfian suckers and saps.

Crooked Drumpf and Republi-cons tell the American people that they are cutting regulations from law.  Yeh?  Then why are they adding that ‘thousand page’ ‘tax reform’ bill?  Oh, yeh, because those new ‘complicated’ regulations will give massive tax cuts to their corporate and wealthy sponsors.  As for you low and middle income Americans who will be ‘paying more than their bosses’, aw, get over it, you are just ‘complaining’.  You wanna really ‘complain’? Just you wait!  Republi-cons are posed to cut your Social Security retirement and disability, MediCare, MedicAid, Food Stamps, and other safety net programs next year.  But you won’t be able to vote them out of office because they will take away your right to vote.  Drumpfians, Deplorables – suckers all!

Con-gressional Republi-cons admit that their ‘tax reform’ bill includes ‘not popular’ clauses that ‘shouldn’t be in there’, yet they are voting for them.  Crooked Drumpf is jettisoning his campaign promises to ‘just pass anything’.  How’s that change thingy doin’ for ya now?

Republi-cons are already calling for ‘entitlement reform’.  Republi-con ‘tax reform’ will cut $1.5 trillion from MediCare, MedicAid (five million Americans will be dropt from MedicAid coverage) next year.  Thirteen million people will lose their Obama-care insurance next year.  Nine million ‘CHIP’ children will lose their coverage next year.  Republi-con ‘tax reform’ will cut Social Security next year.  Republi-con ‘tax reform’ calculates those budget cuts and dropt coverage to arrive at their $1.5 trillion calculation.  Democrats are standing firm to protect those programs, Republi-cons seek their demise.

Where do you place yourself, Dear Reader?

The clear majority of Americans polled say Crooked Drumpf’s Republi-con ‘tax reform is a bad plan, a trillion Dollar plunder of our treasury, not good for the American nation.  The Republi-con political campaign donor class want these special interest tax cut breaks for themselves.  Crooked Drumpf claims a personal wealth in the billions of Dollars, he refuses to release his tax returns for public scrutiny, and he will reap windfalls from his own ‘tax reform’ plan.

Third-world autocrats and dictators carve out tax benefits for themselves same as Crooked Drumpf and Republi-cons are doing for themselves in this ‘tax reform’ bill.  Under this Republi-con ‘tax reform’, the more your income, the less tax you will pay.

Republi-con ‘tax reform’ of Reagan’s ‘broken’ ‘tax reform’ is the only success that Crooked Drumpf can claim as a victory, and that victory is limited to corporate ‘people’, not people people.  Certainly, Crooked Drumpf skewers his own Drumpfian and Deplorable dupes.  How many Drumpfians and Deplorables will be ‘souring’ on Crooked Drumpf’s betrayal by November 2018?  Will they still vote for Crooked Drumpf as habit or will they vote Democratic?  That’s a long way in the future.

Crooked Drumpf motivated Democratic voters for these recent elections – Virginia, New Jersey, Alabama – but the real test for them will be the November 2018 election season.  Will they be taken same as they were under Reagan, Baby Bush, Crooked Drumpf?  Or will they vote their energy for Democratic candidates?

Crooked Drumpf voters looked to him to solve their problems.  How’s that change thingy doin’ for you now?  Crooked Drumpf is not finished with his first year yet.  His worst is yet to come during the next three years.

Republi-cons ran Moore in Alabama, one whom they whole-heartedly supported right to Election Day, yet a candidate that his Party openly admits after Election Day was a ‘flawed’ and ‘failed’ candidate.  Loyalty to Party over loyalty to nation – that is Fascism defined.() Supreme Court Guts Voting Rights Act

The Black women’s vote elected Jones in Alabama – they were the clear margin of victory.  But Democrats must not depend solely upon one group, but all groups.  NBC polls show that Millenials and women overwhelmingly prefer Democrats the majority party in Congress.  Fine for polls, but they still vote Republi-con in fact.  Nothing will change until they change their vote.

Nothing will really change hard-core Republi-con voters.  That man in the PBS pollution segment seemed to have no concern to vote Democratic despite his Republi-cons and their corporate sponsors being responsible for chemical companies dumping poisonous waste into his drinking water and cutting dozens of inspectors from his state’s environmental agency who could have prevented that pollution, who could have written laws against polluters, who could have prosecuted the polluters.  He whines to ‘hold the polluters responsible’, yet he’d rather elect more Republi-cons to cut even more government watch-dog employees, he’d rather drink polluted water, he’d rather breath polluted air, than vote Democratic.  Not much different than Alabama Republi-cons who vowed they’d rather vote for Moore the Molester than any
Democrat.

We hear news from former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin how her son is touched by PTSD from his assignment at Iraq.  Hmm?  She was all gung-ho sending other American kids to fight specious wars on behalf of Baby Bush, her son went there, she and her Republi-con Party opposed ‘GI bill’ legislation, and now she whines about the results of war and PTSD – that there must be tax money spent to come to the aid of  her veteran son.  Flip-flop.

Impeachment and conviction?  Not as long as Republi-cons control Con-gress.  Those removal actions require absolute majorities of both the House of Representatives and the Senate – Democrats will not win all those seats, those political acts will not happen in the 2018 election.  Crooked Drumof will remain in office through the 2020 elections.  Crooked Drumpf will not leave office unless he is forced out by the results of Special Prosecutor investigations – only by resignation, not one Republi-con will vote him out.

CBS’s John  Dickerson opined how there are as many as 10 times the number of women declaring their candidacy for 2018 Congressional elections as compared to 2016 races – that this as a backlash to Crooked Drumpf, to Moore, and to the sexual harassment scandal.  Don’t look at those numbers and cheer – not quite yet.  Many of those women are Republi-cons who will retain this exact same Crooked Drumpf status quo, they will NOT change one damn result if they are elected, they are as if Republi-con men wearing a dress.  Only electing women who will represent our nation’s needed change from Crooked Drumpf and their Republi-con corrosive policies will newly-elected women have any effect.

Don’t forget.  Republi-cons Gerrymandered Representative Congressional Districts to be solid Republi-con – their entrenched ‘Permanent Republi-con Majority’.  As it is, there are insufficient Districts for any opposition party to win and take majority from them.  This Gerrymandering will continue to 2020’s census and re-drawing.  Republi-con rule will persist til past the 2030 election.  This is how ‘elections have consequences’.() Proud To Be A Liberal

‘Women are responsible for these sexual harassment complaints.  They dress provocatively.  Who do we call ‘Deep Throat’ (laughter)?’.

  • Don Imus, R (his radio show, 30 Nov 17)

(2)(2013 01 22) Pederast Priest Cover-up at Los Angeles

‘Roy Moore tweets ‘Hollywood elite’ and his Christian values.  There is nothing farther from being Christian values than molesting young girls. preying upon young girls.’  ‘You don’t get to hide behind the church when you are accused of molesting.  It’s disgusting!’  ‘This doesn’t matter, Moore will still win.’  ‘Moore will be in the Senate making laws against us.  We don’t want to be represented by a paedophile in the Senate.’  ‘Allegations against Moore made no difference in Alabama’s support of Moore.  Since when is child molestation a partisan issue?’  ‘We are in a bizarre time in America.’  ‘Moore will win.’  ‘White women support Trump.’  ‘Moore is a Breitbart candidate; Breitbart has power.’  ‘Republikans don’t care.  Republikans can never vote for a Democrat.’  ‘Republikans will vote for a paedophile.  Red-necks are supporting a paedophile.  It’s tribal.’

  • Comments  by:  Ana Navarro (R) and Meghan McCain (R) (‘The View’, 01 Dec 17)

‘The President had been dancing around his endorsement of Moore.  Called him to give him his endorsement.  Voters know about Moore and make their decision.’

‘Trump endorses Moore.  There’s a moral issue about Moore.  Voters make that bargain not to care about moral concerns.  Voters put Trump in office knowing about the ‘Access Hollywood’ tape.’

‘Moore leads the polls.  Trump gets in front of the parade.  Trump wants to be the one who makes Moore win.  A win for Trump and the Republikans in the Senate though they say he will be expelled if he wins.’

  • PBS Newshour (04 Dec 17)

(4)

‘A poll shows that 48% of Moore supporters consider him the best man for the job.  What’s the job?  Male strippers for nursing homes?’

  • Seth Meyers, R (‘Late Night with Seth Meyers’, 04 Dec 17)

(5)

‘Moore gets the backing of Trump and the Republikan National Committee over allegations of sexual misconduct against Moore.  Moore denies knowing any women who have made allegations against him.  Alabama Republkans (71%) say the allegations against Moore are false.  Moore’s representative says Moore knew his accusers, but does not recall their dates.’

‘Billy Bush pushed back hard against Trump on that ‘Access Hollywood’ tape released one month before the election.  Trump apologised the next day after it was released.  Then, after the election, Trump said that it was not his voice.  Trump said it with seven other guys on the ‘Access Hollywood’ bus.  Trump said it in 2005 when he was a big star on NBC.  Everybody had to kiss the ring of the Big Donald because he made lots of money for NBC.’

  • CBS News (05 Dec 17)

‘Moore will win.  It’s ‘inside the palace walls’ intrigue.  The RNC is giving money to Moore.  The optics is a lose-lose-lose for Republikans.  McConnell’s endorsements have a lot of power.  It will be okay to have a paedophile.  Republikan voters don’t believe the accusers of Moore.’

‘Just treat a woman like she’s human.’

  • Meghan McCain, R (ABC ‘The View’, 05 Dec 17)

‘We have a problem with values in Washington.  We shouldn’t disbelieve anybody.  It’s up to the people of Alabama to decide their morals and who they vote for.  You’re absolutely right, I’m the kinda guy if my 14-year old daughter was molested by a 34-year old man.’

  • Corey Lewandowski, R (ABC ‘The View’, 05 Dec 17)

(7)

‘Romney, McConnell, and the whole crowd.  Washington.  Hollywood.  Sexual misconduct allegations against Moore are a set-up.  It’s a scam.  Do not talk to me about honour and integrity.’

  • Steve Bannon, R (Moore campaign speech, CBS News, 6 Dec 17)

(8)

‘About that 14-year old, it was a molestation, not a rape.  A 30-something Moore had her mother’s permission to date that 14-year old girl.  Moore kissed her.  Voters went in with their eyes open and knew all they needed to know when they voted for Trump.  Alabama voters know everything there is to know about Moore and they will elect him.’

  • Lars Larsen, R (his radio show, 07 Dec 17)

(9)

‘The Repblikan Party is happy to fall in line with Trump’s agenda and that even includes backing an accused child molester.’

  • Seth Meyers, R (‘Late Night’, 07 Dec 17)

(10)

‘If you are a porn star and you have been sexually assaulted, then you have been sexually assaulted.  We don’t have to character-shame the women.’

  • Meghan McCain, R (ABC ‘The View’, 08 Dec 17)

‘The Democrats are taking the higher moral ground.  It forces us to have a conversation about Trump and Moore.  What are you gonna say of the eight Moore accusers who voted for Trump?’

  • Paula Ferris, R (ABC ‘The View’, 08 Dec 17)

(11)

‘You people have a collective amnesia about these con-servatives.  It’s so depressing!  I am so alone in this thing. I will survive with God’s will alone.  We are no longer a moral people.  I led you to vote for Trump for a year.’

  • Michael ‘savage’ Weiner, R (his radio show, 08 Dec 17)

(12)

‘A day of reckoning in Alabama.  A Jones win would trim the Republikan majority and deal a blow to Trump.  Alabama voters struggle with supporting Moore.  Moore’s loss is a huge defeat for Trump.’

  • CNN News (12 Dec 17)

(13)

‘It isn’t over!’

  • Roy Moore, R (ABC, CNN News, 12 Dec 17)

‘God is in control.  We’ve been painted in unfaithfull light.  God has heard my cry.  Praise our god and be moved.  We can’t wait til after 11 o’clock.  It’s not over!  It’s gonna take time.’

  • Roy Moore, R (post-campaign speech, ABC, CBS, NBC News, 12 Dec 17)

‘Sexual perversion and sodomy sweep this land!  Homosexuality is bestiality.  It is abhorrent, immoral, detestable, a crime against nature, and a violation of the laws of nature and nature’s god upon which this nation and our laws are predicated.’  ‘The US is the focus of evil in the world.  We promote a lot of bad things.’  ‘God is our only source of our law, liberty, and guh’mint.’

  • Roy Moore, R (BBC News, 12 Dec 17)

(14)(2012 11 13) Adultery Comes Naturally

‘There are few US states as ruby red conservative.  The Republikan candidate had a cloud of controversy hanging over his head – not just sexual impropriety, but also inflammatory statements and legal run-ins that knocked him out of the Alabama Supreme Court twice.  There were Republikan voters who found his views on homosexuality and civil rights distastefull.  Democratic voter participation surged.  Progressives touted their resistance to Trump; their enthusiasm is translating into numbers at the ballot box.  Moore thinks homosexuality should be outlawed.  Moore likens homosexuality to ‘bestiality’.  He was dismissed from the Alabama Supreme Court after he refused a federal order to remove a massive stone statue of the ’10 Commandments’ from inside his courthouse.  His refusal to issue marriage certificates to Gay couples cost him his place on the bench for a second time.  Moore’s willingness toward evangelical issues and defy federal court orders won his following in the Bible Belt.  His views are extreme, offensive, help make him a vessel for Alabama voters.  Moore feels that the 9-11 attacks were a sign of god’s divine anger.  Moore thinks he’s like Putin.  In August, he praised Putin for his stance against Gay rights.’

Editor:

There you go, these right-wing wack-os blame women.  They are also desperate to ‘eat their own’ Republi-cons.

Does rape exist in such Islamic nations where men force women to wear full burkas?  Hell, yes it does, in far worse numbers than any Western nation:

  • Men of Moslem nations blame women whom they rape,(2013 10 23) Are They Serious
  • Men of Moslem nations blame Moslem women as dressing ‘provocatively’ in their burkas.
  • Moslem men execute Moslem women in the public square – the Moslem women whom they raped.
  • Moslem men praise themselves for their ‘honour killing’ of the Moslem women whom they rape and murder.
  • Moslem men go un-prosecuted, un-punished for raping Moslem women, for murdering Moslem women.

We heard misogyny when Imus and his patriarchal gang laugh about ‘Deep Throat’, a movie about a woman forced into sexual slavery and forced to endure oral rape.

We all endure misogyny that men (and women) of Alabama choose to vote for an admitted paedophile (Moore admitted that he obtained permission from the mothers of 14-years old girls to date their daughters when he himself was in his 30s) rather than vote for Doug Jones, a renowned state prosecutor of the crimes Moore admits he committed (Jones, the Democratic candidate, also successfully prosecuted Kluxers for their acts of terrorism).

Men, explain your vote for Moore, Alabama’ Republi-con Party candidate for US Senate who stands accused by several teen-aged girls as a ‘child molester’:

  • to your mother,
  • to your wife,
  • to your daughters,
  • to your sisters,
  • to all women.

Women, likewise, explain your vote for Moore the molester.  PLEASE!

Moore denies all knowledge of his accusers, yet Moore’s very own legal counsel admits that Moore knew his accusers.  Which is it?

Sadly, not all women support other women.  Republi-con women also vote for misogynists when they vote for Moore and Republi-cons.

THESE MEN DO NOT GET IT!

Right-wing Christian Con-servative evangelical fundamentalist Amerikan Taliban boast that ‘morality does not matter’ – at least when it comes to fellow Republi-cons, it ‘matters’ only when they blame Democrats.  The Republi-con Party runs on its claim to ‘family values’.  These Republi-con  immoralities are their type of ‘family values’ of you Drumpfians, Deplorables.  The Moore accusers are themselves brainwashed, Drumpfians, and hard-core Republi-cons.  They voted for Trump and they may very well vote for Moore as fellow Republi-cons who can’t perceive ever voting Democratic.

Many people express outrage being sexually harassed; I am with them.  But the real sad point is how this abuse is both historically pernicious and culturally accepted.  We can see it clearly exemplified in our culture by old TV shows and movies.  Most TV that I currently watch date from 1950s, 1960’s.

  • Watch 1950s re-runs of ‘What’s My Line’ on BUZZR TV; the audience regularly subjects single women to wolf whistles while the panelists laugh at such rough attention and add their own crude remarks.  Their misogyny is blatant yet accepted.
  • Even some shows that we seem to idolise (‘Laugh-In’) are highly charged with racism and sexual harassment.
  • I recently watched a 1990s ‘Ellen’ sit-com episode on Laugh TV:  Ellen’s friend was routinely obliged to sleep with a movie producer to get ahead in her career as the story played to audience laughs throughout the episode.  I would hardly subject Ellen Degeneris to accusations that she and her scriptwriters were committing sexual harassment.

Sadly, American attitudes were atrocious in our past.  That does not exonerate those who committed willfull acts or crimes of misconduct, but we must see its pervasive nature even among the most innocent.

Drumpfian Weiner experiences his own doubts about Crooked Drumpf – but not too much ‘moral absolutism’.

Weiner talked about exposing fellow Republi-cons who commit their sex crimes.

Of course, only Weiner has his god, is so pure to throw that first stone, his stone, against only Democrats.

Meanwhile, Republi-cons boast their ‘moral absolutism’ while their own immorality comes home to roost.  They whine that what Moore did was in the past when it was moral and common for a 30-something years old man to marry a 14-years old teen girl.  Wait!  Where went that Republi-con ‘moral absolutism’?  Why do Republi-cons assail Democrats for their ‘past’?

Up-date (14 Dec 17):

Post-election Epilogue.

(1)

‘Marking a political set-back for Trump, Moore has not conceded in the race and called for a re-count.  Moore was a divisive candidate with excessive Christian views.  Jones prosecuted Ku Klux Klan members who bombed a church in the 1960s.’

  • NHK Newsline (13 Dec 17)

>

Editor:

There you go, Dear Reader.  Crooked Drumpf can hardly accuse NHK of ‘fake snuze’.  NHK describes Moore as a religious extremist.  Maybe if Alabama were not tainted by their own right-wing Christian Con-servative evangelical fundamentalist Amerikan Taliban religious extremism, they’d be more aware that their fanaticism is equal to that of the ‘Islamic terrorism’ that they accuse as extreme.

Jones successfully prosecuting kluxers is one primary reason why Moore’s voters – pro-segregationists, bigots, extremists, racists, White supremists – oppose Jones.  ‘Cain’t be putting White men in jail for killing N****r chil’ren’, they would argue.

(2)

‘Moore is refusing to concede defeat.  Trump is losing in this deepest of Red States.  Moore believes homosexuality is immoral and that Muslims should not be allowed to serve in Congress.  Hard-lined conservative Moore’s loss is a reflection of his candidacy, as a major snub to Trump who backed him.  It is a victory for the victims of sexual assault whose claims Moore dismissed as ‘fake news’.  Republikans are disappointed, they don’t believe the accusations against Moore.’  ‘It’s a protest vote against Trump.  Losing Moore thought that he was on his way to Washington.  Evangelicals believe they were betrayed.  A big black-eye for Trump and his playbook of ‘fake news’ and attacking accusers.  A defeat against the Republikan Party and Trump’s brand.  The Trump soul was divided across the state; suburban Republikan voters swung to Jones.  Bannon backed Moore and other candidates; he is threatening other Republikans.  Trump is all over the map, making chaos in Washington.  Only one Republikan defected on ‘tax reform’; they want to have accomplishment for the next election.’

  • BBC News (13 Dec 17)

>

Editor:

Democrats would do well not to celebrate too much.  This was merely one victory due to a singular egregious circumstance.  This Alabama election merely split the Republi-con voters because of Moore’s personal misconduct that still garnered more than the majority of his core Republi-con constituency – right-wing Christian Con-servative evangelical fundamentalist Amerikan Taliban voters.  Moore received 48% of the vote, his core constituency is 38% of the electorate.

Republi-cons – desperate for ‘accomplishment’ – have plenty of ‘October Surprise’ dirty tricks up their collective sleeves for 2018.

(3)

‘Moore was a flawed candidate!’

  • Laura Ingraham, R (her radio show, 13 Dec 17)

>

Editor:

Why did Ingraham boast about Moore all these past months if he is such a ‘flawed candidate’???

Ingraham went on to drivel how it was everyone else’s fault.  She blamed the Democrats.  She blamed all Moore’s accusers.  She blamed the Black voters.  She even blamed Crooked Drumpf for not campaigning enough.

She should have stopt at ‘flawed candidate’.

(4)

‘Moore’s campaign was hit hard by sexual misconduct decades ago.  Trump is now a two-time loser in Alabama, one of the most pro-Trump states.  Trump backed Strange in the primary, but he lost to Moore; now Moore lost.  The President’s agenda is deeply damaged.  Trump campaigned for Moore to drive up Republikan turn-out.  It didn’t work; GOP turn-out declined while Democratic turn-out surged.  Defying Trump was Bannon.  Defeat will galvanise Republikans on ‘tax reform’.  One top Trump advisor stated ‘Trump’s White House has the worst political operations in two generations – Republikan or Democrat.’.’

‘Look at this Trump administration and see how it is being run.’

  • CBS News (13 Dec 17)

>

Editor:

That accumulation of accusations against Moore for his molestations made him that ‘flawed candidate’, that indecent choice for even the most ardent Republi-con voters who supported their indecent candidate.

Yeh, ‘two-time loser’ sounds good!  ‘Loser!  Loser!’

From now on, of course, Senate Republi-cons will vote in their bloc and not one will stray among their remaining 51; not one ‘moderate’ among them, not even ‘maverick’ McCain (‘Maverick’?  McCain votes solid Republi-con everytime).  Those 51 Republi-cons will pass their ‘flawed’ and ‘deeply damaged’ ‘tax reform’ with their 51 votes.

(2013 10 23) Are They Serious 1Dunno what those ‘two generations’ means?  How many years?  How many presidents?

  • We know that Obama had an otherwise reasonably successfull administration despite Republi-cons’ self-avowed ‘No!  Hell NO!’ obstructionist damage.
  • We know that Baby Bush’s administration was quite a mess.
  • We know that Clinton had two positive terms.

So does that mean that Papa Bush was that prior ‘worst’?  Or maybe Reagan’s was that prior ‘worst’?

We already know that Reagan’s tax reform’ was the ‘worst’ because current Republi-cons campaign against it and are working to ‘reform’ it to Crooked Drumpf’s present legislation.

(5)

‘Trump’s coat-tails got chopt off.  How is this coming along in Alabama?  This thing with Moore?  All of a sudden this Jones defeated Moore.  There was a tremendous upset.  Is the country turning against Trump?  He’s got to do something!  They got to unify their Party.  The winds are blowing not very favourably for Republikans.  Moore isn’t giving up, he is not conceding.  Over 80% White evangelicals voted for Moore.  Democrats have momentum in deep-state Alabama; they are charged up.  The Deplorable Army need to regain that momentum for the next election.  A Democrat-controlled Congress – all will come out – impeachment – during the next two years.  There is a big concern in Republikan circles.  We are beginning to see a civil war.  Moore had a disastrous interview with Hannity that didn’t go well.  Evangelicals support Moore.  The women who were bringing these charges are readily credible – dating these 14-year old girls – molesting women.  He never gave anybody reason to believe these allegations were not true.  The Deplorable Army and Bannon have got to step up and bring more candidates.  The ‘tax reform’ is a cotton-pickin’ nightmare.’

(6)(2013 12 11) One Mind Already Wasted

‘This has been a culture that has been going on.  These sexual molestation and harassment claims are coming out – politics as an aphrodisiac – get ’em outta there.  Thank goodness Republikans didn’t elect somebody who had that stain that that man in Alabama had.  Republikans don’t have to be apologising for him.  They dodged a bullet in Alabama.’

  • Reverend Pat Robertson, R (his CBN ‘700 Club’ TV show, 14 Dec 17)

Editor:

Maybe a fresh wind is beginning to blow against the Crooked Drumpf empire?  Maybe a mere puff was enough for this instance.

Amazing post-election statistics include that:

  • more than 65% or White women voted for Moore
  • more than 95% of Black women voted for Jones

Looks like America’s Black women saved Alabama, saved America, again.  THANK YOU!  Let’s do it again in 2018.

Nor was this by any means a landslide for Jones.  Essentially, one-half of Alabama voters chose Jones while one-half chose Moore.  A clear division rather than a concensus:

  • Jones received 49% of the vote,
  • Moore received 48% of the vote,

though if these results were reversed, Crooked Drumpf would have called Moore’s 49% vote a ‘landslide’ victory and would have blamed ‘fake snuze’ for refusing to join in his characterisation.

Robertson, though, spent these past several months campaigning for Moore.  Now, all of a sudden, Robertson calls Moore a ‘stain’ for which his beloved Republi-cons would be forced to ‘apologise’, that Moore’s loss to Jones is ‘dodging a bullet’ of still another Republi-con sex abuse scandal.

Yet again we hear Republi-cons themselves persist saying that passing their Republi-con Party’s ‘tax reform’ is more important for their own Republi-con Party than for our American nation.  That Republi-con attitude is Fascism defined.

Republi-con Party insists that they must pass their ‘tax reform’ tax cuts for their wealthy buddies, who cares if they tinkle down to the lower class rabble.

There is no Republi-con regard for our American nation.

Beware those who call themselves ‘Independent’!  Republi-con Right-wing Christian Con-servative evangelical fundamentalist Amerikan Taliban hide as ‘Indy’ – defined as a Fascist move.  They prove sinister by ‘pushing’ their facade.  Today they are as those who support Crooked Drumpf in stealth.  As far as I know, I am my family’s only Leftie.  Cousin Jack exemplifies the typical of my family – cruel politics.  ‘with friends (family) like these, who needs enemies!’

Republi-con Tax Cuts for the Wealthy and the Corporations, Coal for Drumpfians and Deplorables

(1)

‘This current tax code is a big mess, a major failure.  My tax cuts are a tax cut for working families.  We are celebrating Merry Christmas with a big tax cut.’

  • Donald Trump, R (speech reported by ABC, CBN, CBS, NBC, PBS, 29 Nov 17)

(2)

‘Trump will personally save more than a billion Dollars while college students will lose out.  This tax code will tax student waivers and hit them with a 400% tax increase.  It is a tax cut for corporations and the rich.’

  • NBC News (29 Nov 17)

(3)

‘Taxpayers with incomes less than $75.000 per year will be paying more taxes.  Republikans know that passing ‘tax reform’ is do-or-die for them politically.  They are holding together.’

  • ABC News (30 Nov 17)

(4)

‘Senate Republikans are scrambling to save their tax bill after it hit a stumbling block over deficit concerns.  Their massive tax cut will add a trillion Dollars to the annual deficit.  Number crunchers found that the tax bill won’t pay for itself as the Republikans promised.  Protesters rallied against the bill,  ‘It will enrich the very wealthiest Americans’.  Republikans would rather move ahead with an imperfect bill.  Tax cuts are driving stock prices up.  Republikans are saying to ignore that the reports of trillion Dollar deficits are wrong.  It’s ‘trickle down economics’.  Wages are not rising for working class Americans.  We see more money going to line top executives’ pockets.  Republikans want to have the tax plan on Trump’s desk to sign for Christmas.’

  • CBS News (01 Dec 17)

(5)

‘Congress is rushing to pass something.  People don’t understand what they are doing.  None of us are aware of it and what it is gonna do to us.  Come up with a final bill and let us read it, how much it will add to the deficit.  Common sense doesn’t transcend to politics.’

  • KSAZ TV / Fox News (01 Dec 17)

(6)

‘Perception becomes reality.  ‘Tax reform’ will be in the Christmas stocking.  We will deliver it to the American people.  A miracle – $1200 in their pocket.  Wages will rise.  Believe in a great Christmas present.  We must not add a burden of debt to our children.  We will not see deficits from these cuts.  We’ll have more resources for our military.’

  • Mike Pence, R (CBN ‘700 Club’ TV show, 01 Dec 17)

(7)

‘You’ll see a bunch of Republikans speed up this tax bill, pass it, and get Trump to sign it. Then you’ll see a bunch of Republikans distancing themselves from it.’

  • NBC News (01 Dec 17)

(8)

‘Senator Flake got a deal extending business corporate tax deductions.  The final Senate vote came within hours without looking at the Bill.  Democrats were outraged, Republikans were confident.  We haven’t seen the language of the Bill, we don’t know how much time lawmakers will have time to read the Bill before voting on it.  The Bill will raise the tax break for family businesses like Trump’s.  The nation will have a $30 trillion debt in 10 years with this Bill while Republikans believe their sense that this Bill will decrease the deficits.  Republikans don’t believe deficits are a liability anymore.’

‘All their Republikan talk about deficits, there were no Republikan ‘Deficit Hawks’ this time.  Republlikans are supposed to be the Party of the Populists, the Blue Collar worker; they are failing.  Republikans will instead tag the Democrats.’

‘Lower tax rates please investors.  Republikan Senator Corker could not cast aside his fiscal concerns and the national debt.  Republoikans will be on track to get this to the President’s desk by Christmas.  This tax cut is less material for individuals than for corpoprations.’  ‘Fight over ‘tax reform’ is influenced by Congressional crises.  Republikans have nothing to run on for next year.  This bill is lobby-based for corporations reducing their rate from 35% to 20% without reforms.  Congressional leaders can keep the corporate side quiet.’

‘The one and a half trillion Dollar bill is viewed as a victory for Trump.  It is massive tax cuts for businesses and high-income people.  Democrats bemoan the 500-page legislation and its last-minute additions to avoid ‘regular order’. Corker was turned off by the $1.5 Trillion price tag.  The corporate tax rate is slashed permanently, tax savings for a family of $75.000 income are temporary.’

‘This will be a one trillion Dollar hit on the deficit.  Republikans have learned how to avoid public outcry by grass-roots Americans.  We don’t know the implications.  The bill was cobbled together with lots of loopholes.  The federal government will be making money by people declaring bankruptcy and people making less than $40.000 a year by not having to cover people who drop out of Obama-care.  This bill is more beneficial to the wealthy and not to poor Americans.’

‘This bill will allow oil drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.  No Senators read the whole thing and knew what was in it – the 500 pages of new tax policy.  How can you pass that without knowing what is in there.  You’ll see similar rush jobs at reconciliation.  We may have a government shut-down.’

‘Senate Republikans are forging ahead to slash taxes for corporations and the wealthy.  Senate Republikans overlooked the Flynn confession.  They were making handwritten changes behind closed doors.  It got worse than that.  If it’s in this bill, it’s definitely not a genius.  Reading it is like finding a secret message on the back of the Constitution.  It’s a giant tax cut for corporations.  By 2027, people making $40.000 to $50.000 would pay a combined $5.3 billion more in taxes while the group earning $1 million or more would get a $5.8 billion tax cut.  McConnell said a Middle-Class tax cut is ‘impossible’ to be done.  GOP repealed the Obama-care mandate.  Republikans will inevitably use the $1.5 trillion deficit they created to cut safety net programs and Social Security and MediCare spending.  It’s what Republikans are planning.  Republikans are cutting Social Security, MediCare, and MedicAid to pay for tax cuts for corporations and wealthy.  Trump revealed that if someone voted for him, he is ‘an ally who can turn against you’.

Editor:(2013 10 02) The Tale of Two Insights

Well, of course it is a ‘big mess’ and a terribly ‘major failure’.

Reagan and his Republi-cons are the ones who passed this tax code in 1986 to benefit their own.  You want another Republi-con ‘big mess’ ‘major failure’ tax code for the next 30-some years?  Yeh, you go right ahead and get what you ask for.  Don’t come crying about it when this latest Republi-con ‘tax reform’ proves it is another Republi-con ‘big mess’ ‘major failure’ that benefits Crooked Drumpf at the expence of low income and college students trying to improve their lives.

Do you recall Baby Bush’s $300 tax giveaway from 2001?  This Editor, who prepared personal income returns, explained this to people who then had a difficult time comprehending that this tax cut was no giveaway, that they had to pay it back the next year.  Taxpayers could not accept that they had to pay back their tax cut the next year.  All those dupes and suckers – it was their own Republi-con con that re-elected more Republi-cons in 2002 and 2004 in disbelief.

Did you fall for Baby Bush’s Republ-con scam?

Lotta Crooked Drumpfians and the true believing Deplorables – they are the dupes and suckers this time.  They don’t learn.  They will get a few crumbs on next year’s taxes in time to influence their vote for the 2018 election only to have their income taxes increased each year thereafter – to a 25% increase by 2025 in time to forget who did this to them and to blame Democrats at the 2024 election.

Plus, this present ‘tax reform’ will either cut or eliminate federal funding for programs for low income Americans – dual blows – their Republi-con Party’s ol’ one-two Republi-con punch to their gut.

Republikans can find trillions of Dollars for innumerable contracts with corporate arms merchants, but can’t find one single thin dime for Social Security, MediCare, MedicAid.  Instead, they will again resort to Reagan and Baby Bush-era efforts to use budget deficits and the national debt to eliminate programs for the poor and indigent and to eliminate Social Security, MediCare, and MedicAid.  You Drumpfians and Deplorables who depend upon safety net programs, Social Security, MediCare, MedicAid – Trump is calling you ‘Suckers!’, he is that ‘ally who can turn against you’.

Republi-cons make no secret that this is primarily a tax cut to benefit Crooked Drumpf and his own ‘working family’, not you Deplorables and Drumpfians of the working class and working poor.  It’s a tax cut only for big business and corporate bosses who support Crooked Drumpf, any makings of a ‘tax cut’ that filters through ‘tinkle down economics’ will be little more than left-over crumbs.  Karma justice is that all you Drumpfians and Deplorables will be fighting for those Republi-cons table scraps.
Crooked Drumpf will say ‘Merry Christmas’ to you, to you Deplorables and Drumpfians of the working class and working poor, to you dupes and suckers.  Crooked Drumpf will deliver a lump of coal to you while he gives $1 billion to himself at your expence.

Suckers.

Another Crooked Drumpf coal in their stockings will be to charities.  Increasing the Standard Deduction will reduce deductible donations to charities; taxpayers will get credit for donations that do not occur.

‘Deficit Hawk’ Republi-cons campaign against all deficits:

  • ‘Deficits don’t matter’,
  • ‘We Republi-cons are good for lowering our taxes’,
  • ‘Republlikans will tag the Democrats.’  etc.

Yet here we have their demonstration that they promote as much as another $2 trillion annual deficit to give tax cuts to themselves.  After all, Drumpfian corporate bribers, er campaign contributors, need that ‘break’, need your ‘help’ – they need the taxpayers’ safety net, not you of the middle- and low-income.

You’re damn straight that Democrats solidly oppose Crooked Drumpf and the Republi-con tax cuts for their wealthy corporate buddies.  Democrats support tax relief to common Americans, Middle Class Americans, Working Class Americans, poor Americans, Americans who actually pay taxes, not Crooked Drumpf who brags that he has not paid taxes for 18 years, not Drumpfian Americans who live in the lap of luxury.

Arizona’s Republi-con Senator Jeff ‘Flakey’ Flake is supposedly one of those ‘Deficit Hawks’, yet he supports these Crooked Drumpf Republi-con tax cuts for the rich that will accumulate trillions of Dollars to our deficit while they collect the benefits of their own ‘tax reform’ tax cuts.

Republi-con ‘sense’ – nonsense!

Yep, ignore that small Drumpfman behind the curtain.

Why is your nest egg in Crooked Drumpf’s stock market at 24.000?  What are you doing to guard against the coming 40% drop to your current value?  How did you survive when Baby Bush’s market collapsed in 2007 and dropt all the way to 9.000?

The stock market experts cited – Del Walmsley and ‘On-line Trading Academy’ – are Drumpfians who warn of impending calamity.

The average mom-and-pop investor has made little to show for earnings as ‘On-line’ taught recently.  If you bought into the market when Baby Bush began his presidency and are still in that market 17 years, then you made little earnings.  Inflation averaged 2% these past 17 years while stock earnings average 2.5%.  Thus, each year, on your average, you are left with that .5% earnings – one-half of one per cent per year.  Hey all you true believer Drumpfians and Deplorables,  how’s that for your success in the stock market!(2013 12 10) Welcome to Your Next Stop - Pottersville

Same as Baby Bush, Crooked Drumpf is betting on the market crash after the next election.  He is campaigning on his ‘great economy’ bubble.  After 2018, he will blame Democrats for the post-election collapse, he will eliminate Social Security, MediCare, MedicAid, Food Stamps, and other safety net programs that help poor and low income Americans – those very same ‘Working Class’ who fail to perceive Crooked Drumpf is repeating history.  All those cuts will give billions of your tax Dollars to himself and his corporate buddies.  Crooked Drumpf is laughing at you.

So when this current Crooked Drumpf bubble market crashes by 40%, you will lose that 40%.  Only insiders and dealers beat this stock market, not you, the average investor.

It’s history repeating itself – from Reagan’s failed ‘Tinkle Down Economics’ to the Crooked Drumpf’s next Republi-con Great Depression.

‘The tax reform is a cotton-pickin’ nightmare!  Instead of tax relief, it is a tax burden.  People don’t like it.  It hasn’t been carefully thought through.  The people will say Republikans can’t govern with the White House, the Congress, the Senate.  They can’t bring forth legislation.  The voters will kick them out.  They haven’t gotten it together.  We got to do something.  Delaying tax cuts will be devastating.  ‘Tax reform’ is not popular, it will hurt people.  It’s Bannon and the President and the Party that isn’t working together.  We’ll win the next election.’

‘Republikan ‘tax reform’ is gonna guarantee Trump another four years in office.  It’s a stroke of genius.  The vast majority – over 80% of American people – don’t pay any taxes at all.’

  • Reverend Pat Robertson, R (his CBN ‘700 Club’ TV show, 14 Dec 17)

Editor:

Robertson says it himself about Crooked Drumpf’s ‘tax reform’:

  • it’s a ‘tax burden’
  • not ‘carefully thought through’
  • ‘will be devastating’
  • ‘will hurt people’.

Yet Robertson flip-flops, he blathers that this Republi-con legislation will lead the way to Republi-con victory at next year’s elections and Crooked Drumpf’s re-election in 2020.

As for those who ‘don’t pay taxes’, Crookied Drumpf is among Americans who boasts that he paid no federal taxes for 18 years, yet manages to reap billions of American federal taxpayer Dollars in refund payments for himself.

On the other hand, this American taxpayer averages paying one-third of her meager $14.000 per year Social Security income in various taxes:  state taxes, property taxes, sales taxes, excise taxes, gasoline taxes, food taxes, restaurant taxes, automobile taxes, stadium district taxes, community college district taxes, library taxes, health district taxes.

Brennan boasted (see above:  CBS ‘Face the Nation’, 09 Dec 17) that there is no way to force corporate bosses to act in a way to benefit anyone other than themselves.  NHK news reports that Japan’s legislature is poised to pass their own ‘tax reform’ legislation that will do a ‘carrot and stick approach’ as they called it:

  • raise wages and you get a tax cut,
  • invest in your business and you get a tax cut,
  • increase your hiring and you get a tax cut.

But … if you fail taking action to improve the nation’s economy, then you get hit with a penalty tax.

‘Pay now or pay later’ as the saying goes.  Corporate Japan will have their choice – they will be required to either:

  • spend their profits to improve Japan’s workforce and economy or
  • get a financial hit that will force corporate officers to pay for their selfish actions.

Japan’s economists project that their tax policies will raise their national economic growth by more than 1%.

Those are ideas that Republi-cons will never enact here in their Amerika.  Selfish corporate bosses tell their Republi-con Con-gress to pass tax cuts to benefit themselves so that they can reap monetary windfalls at the expence of rank-and-file employees and diminsh the greater national economy.

Well there you have it, Crooked Drumpf and his Republi-cons are wrong again despite their whining that there is no way to impose any requirement to raise employee wages, to hire more employees, to expand their business rather than CEOs pocket all their corporate profits and stash the money at their off-shore tax havens.

Crooked Drumpf is more concerned defending his cozy relationship with Putin (the head of state of an adversarial nation) rather than supporting his own federal agency heads.  He’s about as close to treason (giving aid and comfort to the enemy) as any American politician can approach.

Flynn negotiated with Russians and Ambassador Kislyak while he was a private citizen.  He was a private citizen acting outside the American government.

That gun is now more than ‘smoking’.  This time, it is not Crooked Drumpf shooting someone on the streets of New York City and getting away with murder, as he put it during his campaign. This time, our Constitution and our American rule of law have him in its cross-hairs.

Flynn is looking at ‘several score’ of years of prison time if he fails to full co-operate with federal investigators, FBI, and the Special Prosecutor.  His guilty pleas indicate he has offered valuable evidence against those ‘senior’ officials – both Kushner and Crooked Drumpf himself.

Obstruction of justice is an impeachable, convictable offence – whether you are a Democrat or a Republi-con.  Now if the Republi-cons would put that into their own majority rule and take care of America’s business against Crooked Drumpf.

Crooked Drumpf campaigned that he would ‘build that wall’, ‘cut taxes’, ‘create jobs’, ‘Lock her up!’, ‘repeal Obama-care’ all on his first day in office.  He failed you.  Instead, Crooked Drumpf’s first official act as US President was to continue his collusion with Putin and to repeal Obama’s sanctions against Russia for that collusion that fomented ‘fake news’ detrimental to Clinton and helpt elect Crooked Drumpf.

Crooked Drumpf ‘is not above the law’!

‘Lock him up!  Lock him up!’

Welcome, Dear Reader.

I promised this essay more than two years ago; my aplogies that I took this long to write it.

I wrote in an earlier post about my 1964 1/2 Ford Mustang.

Here’s how I lost my 1965 Ford Mustang.

*

It was Christmastime 1999.

I had simple plans to attend that year’s Christmas Midnight Mass.  No particular subterfuge, I just wanted to connect at least to one familiar custom since childhood.  I don’t know what were the extent of my beliefs in Catholic dogma nearly 20 years ago, nor do I know if or whether there is a high being; the latter is beyond my pay grade.

My planned attendance at Midnight Mass 1999 would not be.

Dear Reader, if you read other entries at this web-site, then you know that I alluded in those earlier posts what happened to disrupt my best laid plans one fatefull December 1999 Sunday night.

I drove to Tucson in my classic 1965 Ford Mustang.  I about never exceeded 65 mph on the freeway, but this was that one time when I decided that I would push the engine to 75 mph the entire distance; it purred like a kitten all the way.  Wow, I arrived at Tucson in almost no time compared to my usual 55 mph.

I spent Saturday evening and then Sunday working at the TV studio – editing my next ‘Rock Club Rising’ TV show and working a couple live shows during my breaks.  I departed the studio Sunday evening, stopt to fill the tank with gasoline, chatted with the attendant for a few minutes, and made my way home to Phoenix.

That weekend was pretty much the same routine as any other previous weekend to Tucson.  The drive home was un-eventfull almost til the end of the way; I listened to KFI AM on the radio same as usual when I returned home from Tucson on Sundays – there was Sunday night programming that I enjoyed hearing on my way home.

I approached the Southern limits of the Phoenix metropolitan environs.  I observed headlights shining into my inside rear-view mirror.  Those lights were quite a distance behind me and were the only other traffic travelling my direction at 11 pm.  I scanned the road in front, then back to those headlights in the rear-view mirror.  The lights still appeared distant, yet this second time they shown to be closer than they should have been for a vehicle travelling at an average speed.  No matter, I figured; I’m driving in the ‘slow’ lane where I belong and they should be driving in the ‘fast’ lane where they belong.  The third time was not the charm; I looked at the lights in the rear-view mirror, they were right there at my tail.

I literally hit the accelerator – pedal to the metal – as hard as I could – as if my foot would have gone through the floor if I pressed any harder.  As quick as my Mustang’s engine responded, it was not quick enough.

Too late!

Bam!

I heard that impact; I felt that impact.

I also felt a sudden draft of cold December wind, looked into my rear-view mirror, and saw that something was terribly wrong.  I took a quick direct gaze back and saw that the entire rear window was blown out. I did not see til days later how bad was the actual damage.

I let off the gas – acceleration was not gonna happen ever again in that Mustang.

The Mustang wanted to fish-tail.  I had training, I knew how to control a car in such a violent situation.  I controlled the steering into the skid as best as I could.  The Mustang waivered two cycles – back and forth, back and forth.  What just happened was not of my doing, but I knew that I had the capacity to mitigate whatever future events were about to happen.  I knew that I had to prevent my car from crossing into the median dip to the left, possibly hitting an on-coming vehicle, and resulting into a massive head-on collision with multiple vehicles.

Bang!

A second hit – this time at the passenger side rear corner, this time while my Mustang faced toward the desert.  In that instant, my Mustang headed un-controlled toward the right-hand side of the road rather than to the left side and into on-coming traffic.

That second hit at least was better than the alternative to being hit at the driver’s side rear corner.

That second hit also made certain that I no longer had any control of my Mustang.

In that instant,

  • I knew that I had to brace for impact against either a tree, the freeway fence, an abutment, anything.
  • I knew that I did not want to experience whiplash from further assault.
  • I knew that I did not want to get hit with a face full of windshield glass.
  • I knew that I did not want to get my chest crushed against the steering column.
  • I knew that I did not want to get thrown through the windshield to certain death.

I knew from driver education training, from teaching driver education as a Forest Service ‘Safety Committee’ member, and from practice experience what to do next and how to handle an un-controlled vehicle; there was no time other than react as I was ingrained.  I went to lie across the front seats and brace for whatever would be the unseen impact this fatefull night.

I did not – could not – see the events in the night-time dark.  I do know what happened by the results.  Maybe not seeing it as it happened was the better.

I do remember quite well being tumbled, but I did not know during that time that that tumbling was the roll-over.

I always wear my safety belt.  The old model 1965 Mustang was built before the days of seat belts, there were none in my car.

My act to lie across the front seats saved my well-being, saved me from more serious injuries, saved my life.  My injuries would have been catastrophic had I been sitting up-right:

  • my spine could have been cracked and left me paralysed as paraplegic or quadraplegic,
  • I could have been crushed and killed during the flip and roll-over.

The Mustang hit a mound of dirt about eight yards across, flipt up, rolled over, and crash-landed flat on the roof of the car.  The smashed car then rolled twice and settled right-side-up on the shreds that were once tires and wheels.  What I saw on TV shows or in the movies now happened to me in my real life.

Making my initial assessment of my injuries, I rose up as far as I could, as high as I could from my crouched position across the front seats within the confines of this flattened vehicle.

My eyeglasses came off during the tumble.

I tried peering from inside the car through what meager opening existed where what was once the windshield barely a few moments earlier.  I observed two men approaching – each with lights and each talking to someone on their cellular telephones.  One shined his light into my car and exclaimed, ‘There’s one dead inside here’ while I observed the other who waved his light toward a tree and stated, ‘I think I see a dead body in the tree’.  I, meanwhile, shouted to either if they could hear me that the only occupant was me, that I am injured, and to please call rescue to get me out and take me to the emergency hospital.

The fire department, or whomever they were, came to my Mustang; I repeated to them that I was the only occupant, that I feel multiple injuries, that I lost my eyeglasses and can’t see too well.  They manipulated the ‘jaws of life’ into place, peeled up the roof, and opened the driver’s side door to lift me out and set me on the stretcher.  They wheeled me to the side of the road.

EMTs approached and began snipping off my clothes to expose my body’s nakedness to the cold air.  I expected that it would be best to explain to the EMTs that I am Transsexual in case they did not comprehend what Inter-sex looks like.  Bad decision, but I had no decision lying there totally exposed.  I was shivering; I was pleading for them to cover me with a sheet or something. Instead, the EMTs began to gather, to take a look at this freak of nature, ‘Come here!  Take a look at the tranny!’.  Damn them all!

My dislocated right shoulder was in immense pain as it hung down to the side of the stretcher.  I pled to the EMTs to restrain my arm; they refused.  Was this how those EMTs treated this Transsexual?

Then came one EMT who stuck me with needles to do blood draws (when I returned to the scene a few weeks later, I found the scraps of the six needles that they used to stick it to me).

That fink of a Highway Patrol ‘Smokey’ accused me of drunk driving, drugged driving, sleeping at the wheel, anything and everything.  I countered to him that I was hit from behind – twice – by a large vehicle.  I told them that I was travelling within the posted 65 mph speed limit, that the other vehicle had to have been driving at excessive speed and the wrong lane when he hit me and fled the scene.  ‘Smokey’ the fink ignored the words of this Transsexual lying there on the stretcher.  He repeatedly accused me of being drunk and drugged. He told me that there was no other vehicle.

Para-medics flew me to the hospital via life-flight helicopter.  ‘Smokey’ was there observing my treatment, or shall I say, my mal-treatment.  The ER doctors did various scans of my body.  I counted – the ER doctor stuck 12 staples in my head to hold it together without any anaesthesia; I can still feel that scar.  I repeatedly reported to ER that I felt a bump on my chest and asked what it was, but they ignored my pleas; that ‘bump’ was my fractured clavicle that they refused to treat.  The ER doctors made no effort to respond to my pleas to examine my right shoulder that had separated from the crash.

The ER team eventually transferred me to a recovery bed.  I was too wound-up to sleep.  I recall there was ‘Serpico’ on the TV.  I watched that, then came the early Monday morning local news.  Then the traffic report.  I saw the remnants of my collision on live TV.  I soon fell asleep – exhausted and overwhelmed.

I recall waking to see that ‘Smokey’ left at my bed-side a traffic ticket assigning full responsibility to me.  What an outrage!  I was subjected to a hit-and-run, my precious classic 1965 Ford Mustang was demolished, I lie hospitalised with innumerable injuries, I could have died.  Yet that creep issued charges that included driving without lights, driving without insurance – all were bogus charges, the inaction of a lazy ‘Smokey’ who lacked decency to speak with me.  He skipt out on me, that creep.  Through all ‘Smokey’s’ efforts to accuse me of impaired driving he failed to list any such accusation – he could not – I was not drugged, drunk, impaired in any way; all those multiple blood draws proved my capability to drive.  Certainly an impaired driver could never have handled a motor vehicle in the controlled manner as I when it shuddered upon impact, fish-tailed, and shot into the desert.

One nurse had no clue how to comprehend my ‘half-and-half’ intimate anatomy; she likely never previously saw Inter-sex.  She brought a man’s urinal bottle to me for when I had to ‘go’.  I chose to stumble to the privacy of the toilet instead.

Another nurse came to give a sponge bath to me.  She gently cleaned off all that dirt and desert dust that covered me from the roll-over.  Her kindness was one of the few bright spots of this experience.

I called my Uncle Artie who resided here to tell him what happened to me.  I called my garage; I had no idea what would be the disposition of my car, but I had belongings that I needed to recover from it.  Both men were very helpfull.  My uncle collected a few items from my car – clothes so that I could get dressed – and drove me home.

I spent that first week in extreme pain.  I ate tangerines from my tangerine tree; they tasted sweet, better than anything else.

Other injuries include spinal damage at three places – crushed disc material damaged my spinal cord leading to the lack of feeling throughout both legs down to my feet. Both my liver and gall bladder incurred severe injury.

I had to re-learn how to walk. I commented that my numbed legs made walking as if I were on stilts.  I walked from one place to another keeping close to something that might let me grab if I fell.  I walked along the wall so that I could fall against it.  I refused to use a cane, walker, crutches, or wheelchair.  I knew that I had to do it on my own if I expected to recover my ability to walk.  I fell many times, but the frequency diminished through the years; I fell during the Summer this year, before that was perhaps 10 years ago when I injured my left hand and fingers bracing myself as I fell.  Every so often I feel a weakness at my right knee as if it lets loose; I re-steady my balance and proceed without falling.

The pain at my head was so extreme that it hurt to comb my hair.  After a few weeks of not combing it, I had to do something with the way it was matted at my scar.  I chopt off sections of my hair. In humour, I told people that I call my style a ‘Crushed Mustang’ in regards to the way my classic Ford Mustang was crushed on the freeway.

*

The absence of feeling at my legs was not complete and it has diminished during these years.

I occasionally experience a hyper-sensation – I felt nerve impulses where there probably were none in the normal person; these sensations have been lessening.  Sometimes it felt as if I were being either stabbed or hit with a jolt of electricity.  I called them ‘nerve shots’.  They occurred suddenly, without warning, instantaneously.  There was no actual pain, but merely my hyper-active nerves sending messages that mimicked the sense pain.

One day the next April, I stubbed my little toe.  I’m sure in reality that it was quite minor.  But in my hyper state it felt total agony.  I went to the clinic, they examined me, did an X-ray to determine any actual unseen injury, and re-confirmed that my toe was not seriously wounded but that it was my erratic sense of feeling.

*

I was watching football one Sunday afternoon the next November.  I was munching on chips, olives, whatever.  I began feeling pain at my lower right-side abdomen.  Those pains persisted all day Monday.

I went to work the next day still in pain.  I decided to be examined at the clinic after work.  I left work at 5 pm, checked in, and was called by 5.30 pm.  I would be examined by several physicians, have blood draws, do urine tests through the next few hours.  The physician came to me after 11 pm and told me that I needed to have both my gall bladder and liver removed because of the damage from the collision.

My initial reaction was shock.

‘NO!!!’

I had medical experience that told me that such surgery could be life-ending.  I knew the consequences of liver transplant.

I repeated ‘No!’ to the doctor.  I told him that would not consent to this drastic surgery – at least not now at this sudden notice.  I asked him to provide more options to me and more time to think about all options.  He asked me how well I could tolerate the continuing pain; I told him that I survived since Sunday, that I shall do what I can one more day as long as the pains did not worsen.  The doctor excused himself to consult with others as I sat there alone to ponder my future with or without my organs.

He returned maybe 30 minutes later.  He presented an ‘eat, do not eat’ paper that listed a variety of foods that were good to eat versus foods that caused damage to the liver and gall bladder.  The essence of that list was to totally avoid salt, sugar, oils.  That was easy – I never bought any of that in my adult life; my downfall was habituating into those ingredients when I purchased canned and processed foods rather than fresh foods.  We discussed this list. I told the doctor that I shall follow his list to the point, that I shall return if the pains did not subside.

The pains did diminish.

I still have my liver and gall  bladder and they are doing well.

I have been able to eat some prohibited foods during the intervening years.  There was a time when I felt extremely nauseous at the scent of pizza; now I can tolerate it, but limit consuming pizza to rare occasions.  There was a time when I became violently ill if I ate any cheese; now I use it sparingly.

I have done my best these many years to maintain the most of that list.

*

A few years later I heard a couple cracks as I squatted to sit on the floor one evening.

Hmm?

I felt nothing, I saw nothing.

I mentioned this event to co-workers the next day; they suggested that I go to the clinic to be examined.

The doctors X-rayed my foot and told me that I broke my big toe in two places.  They asked me about the pain, they asked me if I needed anything for the pain.  I told them that I feel absolutely nothing, that I need no medicine for pain because I have no pain.

*

I departed work one Friday feeling woozy.

I stopt at Goodwill on my way home looking for something on my shopping list.  I passed a white wall and noticed black dots sprinkled into my vision.  I looked into a mirror but did not see anything suspicious.

Uncertain, I went home, gathered some belongings, and went to the Emergency Room.  I knew there was a possibility of severe injury or illness that required immediate attention.

ER admitted and examined me; they held me for observation over-night through Saturday morning.  They checked me every hour or so.  They discharged me Saturday with a follow-up exam at an eye specialist to check for any detachment or abnormality.  That examination took an hour or so with no particular results other than to be mindfull of any increase in those black splotches or any pains.

Whatever it was must have been transient.

*

I was doing yard work in my backyard one afternoon (2013).

I came inside and sat on the floor to watch the evening news.

I noticed something at the heel of my right foot.  I attempted to flick it off with my finger.  It did not fall away.

I looked at it a bit closer, I was not certain what it was, I attempted to grasp it with my fingers, but it would not come out.  I grabbed harder and out came some kind of carpentry or industrial staple that embedded at least one inch into my heel.

There we go again, another trip to the Urgent care clinic.  I showed the staple to the medical personnel, again the questions asking me how I could not feel such a device, and I told them what happened.  They X-rayed my foot to be certain there were no rusted remains inside my wound.  They administered a tetanus shot and sent me home.

*

This lack of feeling is a problem. We need our sense of touch to know when we injure ourselves.

I am still in recovery from that cold December night.

*

Lemme tell you about ‘Smokey’ the fink.

I learned a few weeks later – mid-January 2000 – that he got smacked, rear-ended by a kid who was doped on drugs.  ‘Smokey’ died.  I never cried any tears or felt any sadness about him; I kinda felt that Karma came his way for the way he treated me and likely many others.

I learned later (November 2001?) that ‘Smokey’ and a whole host of police and local yokel court judges were running an insurance scam; the chief judge of the jurisdiction’s city supreme court was convicted of insurance fraud and sent to prison.  Now Karma seemed more appropriate than just for my own selfishness.

I learned that this scam involved exactly what happened to me – that if there was a collision on the freeways, the police assigned in that jurisdiction would find the other driver at fault, not the commercial vehicle that caused that collision.

I learned that many motorists died in what they feloniously assigned as a one-car crash.  The family of those people may never have known that their loved one was victimised by the very people we in our civilised society expect and demand to be truthfull.

I seriously considered visiting the kid who was serving prison time for killing dirty ‘Smokey’.  I never did register or visit him.  If by chance he is reading this, then I tell him ‘Thank you’ for bringing justice upon a dirty cop in precisely the way he deserved it.

Rough justice indeed!

‘Thanks For The Memories’

*(1969 11) Slim - On My Bed

(04 Dec 17)
(Draft)

*

That picture of Slim (above) was taken Thanksgiving Day 1969.  That year would be his first holiday season.

*

What memories do you have, Dear Reader, of special times during these year-end holidays?

Here’s the prologue.  I was raised in the Christian culture, most of my perspectives are ingrained from that perspective.  I did grow up with some Jewish education – my paternal grandparents worked for a Jewish family who rescued them during the First Great Republi-con Depression.  I have made an effort to learn about Kwanzaa.  I am open to any other culture.  After all, we are all human each with our own human experiences of our society; we are one of many.

On a seasonal note, allow me to share events that occurred at this time of the year.

I have several memories of childhood holidays with Aunt Pat, Uncle John, and those relatives.  Their family and our family resided within a mile of each other, Aunt Mickey’s home was just down the street; we were the only family who moved West from New Jersey.

These seasons were good and memorable for positive experiences.  The worst of these stands out – it was Thanksgiving Day 1968.

My dad, Kathy, and I went to Aunt Pat and Uncle John’s home to gather with our extended families.

All went well talking and sharing and watching football on the TVs.

Kathy, Cousin Bev, and I went to walk the neighbourhood and get something from the quickie mart down the street.  We snacked on fresh oranges that we picked from the trees along the way.

We three returned some time later – who knows – we weren’t carrying a watch – maybe 30 minutes – maybe 60 minutes.

We saw that there were police cars at their home.  What happened?

Good for us that we missed the disturbance.  One of the guests that day was a man identified to me with the name ‘Hector’ and was an employee of Uncle John’s bail bond business.  He pulled a gun and started firing it at people.  Dunno why, no one gave those details to me.

Hector was a real bad guy; I began to learn that perhaps that side of my family were real bad people.

One year later came terrible news.  Debbie, my childhood neighbour friend, was murdered.  The news reported that she and two friends had been involved with drugs – using, dealing.  The three teen girls were kidnapt and taken to Mexico to be murdered by shooting them with an overdose.  Somehow the two girls with Debbie survived and went for help, but Debbie died.  Hector was the prime suspect.

Another year or so later I asked my dad why Uncle John seemed to have different TVs, stereos, furniture most every time we visited them each week.  My dad gave a cold look at me and sternly told me, ‘Never ask that question again!’.  I did not ask again, but my dad’s non-answer gave me clues to form my own opinion, rightly or wrongly.  My Uncle John ran a bail bond business, he dealt with shadey creeps as Hector, perhaps he was receiving stolen property as payment for bail.

Christmas 1970:  Radio City Music Hall and the Rockettes.

My dad and I drove cross-country in our camper truck to visit his relatives at New Jersey.

Our travel to New Jersey was uneventfull.

My dad took me to Radio City Music Hall to see the movie (I have no recollection what movie we saw) and the Rockettes’ Christmas Day stage show.

The strongest memory that I have of that day was our bus ride back from New York City.  We were at Port Authority’s bus terminal waiting for our bus when Mother Nature made a very sudden call that could not wait.  I entered  that room alone; I was scared.  My restroom experiences were usually bad and this became one possible addition.  I would have been in big trouble if anyone in that facility did anything to me – my anatomy and my wearing female undies – a girl in the men’s room.  Dunno why my dad allowed me to go alone?

Our drive home from New Jersey was hit by snow storms and blizzards along the way – the first was during our drive through Pennsylvania and another stretching from the Texas panhandle to New Mexico and Northern Arizona:

  • I recall that our gas cap froze shut and prevented us from getting a fill-up one night (New Mexico), we slept with the propane oven for heat
  • The temperature sign at Flagstaff, Arizona, showed ‘-16’ – that is cold.

Christmas vacation 1972:  Vienna Boys Choir.

My dad, Kathy, and I travelled by train from our home at Maggana, Greece, through Jugoslavia, and to Austria.  We stayed at Pension Bliem, a small guesthouse at Saint Johann im Pangau, during our first days at Austria.  We then travelled by train to Vienna for New Year’s.

My dad took Kathy and me to attend a performance of the Vienna Boys Choir.  We also went to see the Lipizzaner Horse Show.

My greatest memory of this at that time was our dad taking pictures of Kathy and me posing with the boys and getting their autographs.

Another memory would fix within the year.  It happened when my dad and I returned from Greece (Summer 1973) and shared our photography of our travels while staying at his sister’s home.  I recall very clearly my relatives expressing curiosity at the pictures – especially when they saw one with me obtaining autographs from one of the Vienna Boys Choir singers.  My aunt again expressed. ‘Who is that stranger girl in the picture?  Where are pictures of Nickie?’.  That was me in those pictures; I was going through female puberty that changed my male appearance to female.

I never again saw pictures of me in my teen years where I appear female – especially those Vienna Boys Choir pictures.  The rare exceptions include that one picture of Kathy, Slim, and me at Thassos and a picture that Kathy sent to me last year of us at a cafe at Vienna.

Christmas 1977:  Fiesta Bowl.

My dad and I had been residing at a small New Mexico village along the Continental Divide.

We made plans to travel to visit family and friends here at Arizona.

We learned that the Fiesta Bowl had tickets available for game day on Christmas Day.  We learned why – apparently that year’s game was becoming a dud, few people were buying tickets to that game.  We got free tickets for pretty good seats.  There were plenty of empty seats at that game.  We moved around from place to place throughout the game.(1977 12 30) Stanford Reply (Name Covered)

Yep, must’ve been a turkey of a game.  I can’t tell you who played or which team won.

I would return home to find quite a surprise with the in-coming mail – my letter and package from Stanford University Medical Center arrived.  I prepared my enrollment paperwork and submitted it as quickly as I could.

Wow!  That was 40 years ago.

Thanksgiving Day 1978.

My dad turned sour what should have been a celebration.

The Forest Service selected me for an appointment.  I would be moving out of town – about 400 miles by road travel.  My dad was angry at me; he accused me of abandoning him throughout the approaching days that included Thanksgiving Day.
Never mind that, at least at that time, I wanted this new job that was to advance my career path.

I learned not long afterward that my dad made plans for himself only to travel to visit his relatives at New Jersey.  Hmm?  What was he having me do alone while he was enjoying his trip had I not gotten hired by the Forest Service?  So much for dear ol’ dad and abandonment.

I spent that holiday season on my own; I enjoyed myself, I played my records.

I savoured the reality that 1979 meant my new freedom to go full steam ahead with transition:

  • my next transition medical appointment would be in early January 1979,
  • my next counselling would be in February 1979,
  • I would begin hormones (Norinyl birth control) shortly thereafter,
  • my counsellor would approve me to proceed with medical treatment,
  • my internist would start me on hormones full time (Diethylstilbestrol).

While Thanksgiving Day 1978 was a disaster, Thanksgiving Day 1979 would be celebration.

Christmas 1979: Family Dinner

I was completing my first year of employment at the Forest Service.

My dad would be driving 200 miles from his home and I would be driving 200 miles from my home.  We would be visiting family: Kathy who was house-sitting for her employer, my Grand-Aunt, and her son.  My dad and I stayed for a couple days at the home with Kathy.  It was quite a mansion – many bedrooms, other various rooms and parlours, maids quarters, and two Rolls Royce vehicles parked in a three-car garage.  I stayed at the TV room and slept on the sofa.  The bathroom at that room literally had gold faucets.

Memories and excitement flushed in me. I was eager to share my transition advances with family as we gathered together.  My desire was to open about my stealth transition that I had been doing right under everyone’s nose since 1974 – to confirm what I suspected they all knew but were afraid to ask:  my medical approvals, my hormones, my plans coming to fruition.  But I also sensed that this was not a good time to raise contentious issues.  I was more concerned about maintaining family order as the family’s peacemaker.  I felt it was better to withhold this touchy subject in what was otherwise a reasonably decent family gathering.  I suppressed my enthusiasm.  I celebrated in my own quietness.

We all feasted a Christmas Eve dinner.

My dad, Kathy, and I attended Catholic Midnight Mass at a parish church where we previously had been members.  This brought a flood of childhood memories to me that I wanted to share – I imagined what my life would have been had I attended Catholic school as Sharon rather than Nick; I looked for former school-mates to maybe share with them – but I felt pressure to keep these thoughts to myself.

We returned from Midnight Mass, gathered for a short time, then I had to depart for home.  My Christmas Day shift at the radio station would start at 5 am; fortuneately, the roads were not snow-bound and allowed me to make good time.

I had a fun morning playing Christmas music and inserting a few items from the Beatles’ ‘Christmas Album’.

Christmas Day 1982:  NBA Basketball Game.

My dad came to visit me at Utah.

I did not expect my dad to visit me, so I had to scramble to think of a special present to personally give to him – yet something that did not take up luggage space on his return flight to Arizona.

Events between us were not working to well.  Recalling the time as it happened and looking back now, it comes clearer.  I suspected then that my dad snooped though my belongings while I was at work.  He saw the evidence of my November 1982 hospitalisation, he asked questions, and I evaded him.  Cousin Bev told me two years ago that my dad spread the word throughout family that he suspected that I was hospitalised to have breast enhancement surgery.  My dad’s confused presumption was that I was a M-F trans person who had BA while still presenting as male.  The gatekeepers of Utah denied hormones to me since 1981.  Were my breasts still that noticeable in December 1982?  Of course I did not have BA; I was hospitalised for my inter-sex surgical diagnosis.

First, I took my dad to a special movie.  He complained about the seats during the entire time and thereafter.

I scrambled for another idea.  Again, I did not want my dad to be disappointed in me.  There would be a Christmas Day NBA basketball game – home team Utah Jazz versus dreaded rival Phoenix Suns.  My dad took me to NBA (and professional hockey) games as a child – once or twice each month during their season.  My dad took me to that Fiesta Bowl game for Christmas Day 1977.

My friend Rod, at the radio station, had connections.  He made it all possible with last-minute tickets to the game.  A great big ‘Thank you’ to Rod.

Arguments start, we don’t recall the specifics, we remain heated for days without recalling why we got there.  And so it was my dad.  He invoked some altercation the night before Christmas Day and stayed angry the rest of the time during his visit.

  • We got to the game – he was angry.
  • We got home – he was angry.
  • He departed a few days later before New Year’s Day – he was still angry.

Funny thing.  We called relatives long distance on Christmas night.  They said that they watched the game, the network sports coverage panned the crowd, we were on the TV screen – they told us that they saw my dad angry, the TV crew commented that he must have been a fan unhappy with the Jazz loss.  Nope, not hardly.  If only they knew!

Thanksgiving Day 1988:  My dad’s last Thanksgiving Day.

My dad called me from his home at 6 pm on Thanksgiving Day; he told me that he wanted to come visit with me and have Thanksgiving dinner with me.  He told me to call a few restaurants and make reservations.  I reminded him of the late hour, that I knew little of restaurants since I lacked the affordability to eat out.

I called several restaurants; some were not accepting reservations, some would be closed by 8 pm, some were already closed.

My father arrived about 8 pm. I told my results to him; he was angry at me – it was my fault that restaurants were closed at that late hour.

We drove around the city and found a Bob’s Big Boy; it was 8:30 pm, they would be open until 9 pm.  The waitress agreed to seat us; she told us that they did have Thanksgiving fixings, she apologised that there remained only left-overs to serve.  No matter, my dad and I ate what perhaps we did not know would be his last Thanksgiving Day meal.

We returned to my home after we dined.  My dad remained angry at me that I was somehow responsible for his calamity of Thanksgiving dinner.  He departed a short time later.  I went to bed sad at the events that ended this day.

Thanksgiving Day 1993.

I resigned from my state employment as a public assistance case manager at Arizona DES.  My Christian Con-servative supervisor had suspicions about me and threatened ‘I’ll get you!’ to me.

I took that trip to California and Oregon:  visiting Kathy, job-hunting, determining if I wanted to move from Arizona.

I took time to re-acquaint myself with relatives here at Phoenix following my departure from employment as I did job-searches at Phoenix.  Carol and I had become friends, or so I thought.  One day as I was visiting with her, she invited me to Thanksgiving Day celebrations.  It had not been since 1970 when I last joined them in what had been til then our annual dinner.  Carol’s invitation did not last long.  My Aunt Pat returned home and told me, sternly, that I was not welcomed to join with them – she un-invited me.

Her act was not un-expected, but I was dejected nonetheless.

As a repeat of 1978, Thanksgiving would be my own celebration.  This time, I was hired by another state agency effective December 1993.

Christmas 1998.

I attended Christmas Midnight Mass at my former parish where I attended Catholic elementary school.  I was still somewhat Catholic, though lapsing quite fast.

My intent was not entirely for religious purpose, but there could be said that I had some spiritual context.  Part of me wanted to determine whether any of the congregants perceived anything about me – still another test to determine whether I am ‘passing’ or failing.

My familiarity of the church and all the surroundings was certain to solidify to anyone that I had to be another fellow parishioner.  Thus, I supposed that I was not doing well if others made nasty stares at me – that it was because of me, not me doing something out of character with parish customs.  Hey, just because this is church doesn’t say people can’t be cruel.  I was rejected by my parish where I last taught ‘Sunday school’.

I remember that I recognised at least two people:

  • one whom I heard had the nick-name ‘Outer Limits’ (I did not know him, did not know his name, as he was in an older grade than I)
  • Jeanne and I were class-mates from 2nd Grade through 8th Grade.

I tried to say ‘Hello’ to ‘Outer Limits’, ask for his name, wish him ‘Merry Christmas’, maybe finally get to know him as temporary as it would be at such an environment.  Nope, he would not give me the time of day.  Did he recognise me?  He barely would have known me.

Jeanne was another story.  Many of the Mass’s attendees gathered together inside the foyer and talked among themselves, I among them as we greeted each other whether friend or stranger.  I came upon Jeanne, addressed her by name, wished ‘Merry Christmas’ to her, and remained face-to-face within arm’s reach of her for at least one minute.  Jeanne looked at me and acknowledged my presence; I continued looking at her and the others in her group, then I departed to meet others (all strangers).  Not once did Jeanne demonstrate any recognition of who I am, why my presence might be familiar to her, how I knew her name but she did not know my name.  Or maybe she plain plumb forgot that her class-mate Nick existed.

I guess that I struck out what would be my last Christmas Midnight Mass.

Christmas 1999.

I had simple plans to attend that year’s Christmas Midnight Mass. I just wanted to connect at least to one familiar custom since childhood. I don’t know what were the extent of my beliefs in Catholic dogma nearly 20 years ago, nor do I know if or whether there is a high being; the latter is beyond my pay grade.

I drove to Tucson in my classic 1965 Ford Mustang.  This time I decided that I would push the engine to 75 mph the entire distance; it purred like a kitten all the way.  Wow, I arrived at Tucson in almost no time compared to 55 mph.  I spent Saturday evening and then Sunday working at the TV studio – editing my next ‘Rock Club Rising’ TV show and hanging out with my TCCC friends.  I departed the studio Sunday evening, stopt to fill the tank with gasoline, chatted with the attendant for a few minutes, and made my way home to Phoenix.

I approached the Southern limits of the Phoenix metropolitan environs.  I observed headlights shining on my inside rear-view mirror.  Those lights were quite a distance behind me and the only other traffic my direction at 11 pm.

The driver hit me the first time.  The Mustang wanted to fish-tail.  I had training, I knew how to control a car in such a situation.  I held the steering as best as I could.  The Mustang waivered two cycles – back and forth, back and forth.  He hit me the second time – this time at the passenger side rear corner, this time while my Mustang faced toward the desert.

The Mustang hit a mound of dirt about eight yards across, flipt up, rolled over, and crash-landed flat on the roof of the car.  The smashed car then rolled twice and settled right-side-up on the shreds that were once tires and wheels.  Making my initial assessment of my injuries, I rose as far as I could, as high as I could from my crouched position across the front seats within the confines of this flattened vehicle.

I tried peering from inside the car through what meager opening existed where what was once the windshield barely a few minutes earlier.  I observed two men approaching – each with lights and each talking to someone on their cellular telephones.  One shined his light into my car and exclaimed, ‘There’s one dead inside here’ while I observed the other who waved his light toward a tree and stated, ‘I think I see a dead body in the tree’.

The fire department, or whomever they were, came to my Mustang; I repeated to them that I feel multiple injuries, that I lost my eyeglasses from the collision and can’t see too well.  They opened the driver’s side door to lift me out and set me on the stretcher, wheeled me to the side of the road, and began snipping off my clothes to expose my body’s nakedness to the cold air.  I was shivering; EMTs denied my pleading for a sheet or something to cover me.

I expected that it would be best to explain to the EMTs that I am Transsexual in case they did not comprehend what inter-sex looks like.  Instead, the EMTs gathered, ‘Come here!  Take a look at the Tranny!’.  Damn them all!

Another EMT stuck me with needles to do at least six blood draws.  They accused me of drunk driving, drugged driving, sleeping at the wheel, anything and everything.  I countered that I was hit from behind – twice – by a large vehicle.

Para-medics flew me to the hospital via life-flight helicopter.  The ER doctors stuck 12 staples in my head to hold it together; I can still feel that scar.

I called my Uncle Artie who collected a few items from my car – clothes so that I could get dressed – and drove me home Monday afternoon.

I spent that first week in extreme pain.  I ate tangerines from my tangerine tree; they tasted sweet, better than anything else.

I am still recovering from that cold December night.

Thanksgiving Day 2008.

What a lonely day that would begin a string of lonely years and depression.

I had been removed from my job the prior August 2008 on the accusation that being transsexual makes me ‘mentally unfit’ to be a State of Arizona employee.  I would be on my own to fight their charges:

  • Of more than 100 offices where I sought legal help, not one lawyer accepted to take my case.
  • Not one federal or state agency charged with EEOC or discrimination issues defended my position.
  • I had no family or friends come to me support.

I expected to somehow recover my employment status; I had no idea that my plight would be permanent.

I went to the grocery store unsure what I was going to do other than browse the aisles in quiet solitude.  I came upon a few items for sale at the discount shelf.  I recall that I bought a container of turkey dressing. returned to my car, ate that in silence, then cried.  With no sense of what more to do and no where to go, I drove to Tucson to wander that familiar city, then I returned home to cry again.

Holiday season 2014.

I was experiencing my most recent period of major depression that began some time during late-2013 and persisted until some time early-2015.

Thieves burglarised and ransacked my home when I went away.  They stole irreplaceable personal possessions from me:  50 years of my photography, videos, and mementos of my two TV shows (‘Rock Club Rising’ and ‘Dick’s Automotive’).  They stole valuable ‘stuff’ accumulated throughout my lifetime:  my collection of books and phonograph records valued at more than $500.000.  I was un-insured because I could no longer afford that expence.  This event of its entirety was one price of many that I paid for being Trans.

My stress was destroying my physical health and mental well-being.

I was alone.

Then, suddenly, came a squirrel scampering across my backyard lawn while I ate my Thanksgiving Day meal from a jar.  I tossed a cranberry to it as my way to share what was my meager bounty that year.

Christmas Day 2015.

Alana invited me to spend the day and have dinner with her.  This would be the first time anyone asked me to join them.

Alana thought that I ditched on her; I was a bit late because I got lost on my way to her home.

I brought food to add to our meal.  I felt disappointed when Alana expressed distaste for my contribution.  I did not know it at that time that she has food complications and what I innocently brought to our table was among her complications.

We had a good time.

Alana showed her picture collection and railroadiana to me.  We shared about our travelling to Thailand.  We watched a few DVDs of my ‘Rock Club Rising’ show.

I had no idea one year earlier in 2014 how my life would change in 2015.

Thanksgiving Day 2016.

Alana and I spent a crazy day together.

We had no idea that many restaurants would be closed all day that day.

We first went to our fave Souper Salad salad bar – it was closed.

She thought maybe Denny’s had good dinner service.  We went to one Denny’s, ordered their Thanksgiving Day meal, and were utterly disappointed at the table scraps that they served.

Still wanting to celebrate with a meal, we found a fast-food hamburger restaurant that was opened and serving.  We ordered burgers and fries and ate them in her car as we talked and reminisced.

*(1927 xx xx) Abie's Irish Rose (book cover - green) 51p7kbWYLGL._SX346_BO1,204,203,200_

What are your fave holiday plays, movies, entertainment?

Anne Nichols wrote her play ‘Abie’s Irish Rose’ in the immediate post-WW1 era.  The story begins when a Catholic nurse brings an injured Jewish soldier to health at a battlefield hospital, they return home to marry, but their fathers hold their own feuds against the couple, their marriage, and against the notion of any marriage between Christian and Jewish.  The play closes with both families coming together during the holiday season when the couple celebrate the births of their twin children, each father melting at their expanding family.

In its time, this play was both

  • (1) the longest-running play on Broadway and
  • (2) the longest-running touring play

from the 1920s to the 1960s; it was also adapted to both radio and television series.  Nichols’ composition is deemed the foundation of innumerable plots repeating her story-line about over-coming bigotry and prejudice, of inter-racial inter-marriage, in plays, movies, and TV shows.

In a strange way, the original ‘Godfather’ movie is a holiday season movie to me.  Events occur at Christmas time:  Michael and Kaye have their tryst, Don Corleone schemes his take-over but gets shot for it, Luca swims with the fishes, Tom gets kidnapt while Christmas shopping, Michael proves his mettle.

‘Home Alone’ was cutesy in its way; I don’t think I could ever want to watch it again considering present politics.

The first version of ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’ that I saw was the 1977 Marlo Thomas version.  I don’t see that version on TV anymore; I can watch it on my VHS tape.  Likely the James Stewart version will make its rounds any day now and be repeated til Christmas Day.

>

Allow me to share my Marlo Thomas story.

I attended a taping of the ‘Donahue’ talk show when he came to Salt Lake City (September 1981).  I received tickets to two shows; I chose to attend when Don Wildmon was scheduled to be the guest, but he ditched and we got Linda Gray and Larry Hagman instead – two very personable people.  I am not a ‘Dallas’ fan, never saw that show, but did recall Gray from ‘All That Glitters’ (Gray portrayed the first regular Transsexual character on American TV) and Hagman from ‘I Dream of Jeanie’.  I got a chance to talk to them and obtain their autographs during a commercial break.

We in the audience asked questions to Phil both before and after the taping.  Phil invited the audience to join in line where he signed his autograph, spoke to each of us, thanked us as we departed.

The exit line was long – a few thousand people – so I decided to wander around backstage.  I immediately, surprisingly, found Marlo Thomas.  I introduced myself to her; she invited me to stay and talk.  I told her that I like her version of the movie and that I remember her from her TV series that we watched.  I excused myself maybe 30 minutes later.

I re-joined the line that was at the last few people.  I was the last person in line so I spoke with Phil longer than the others, thanked him for his show though he had different guests than scheduled, he signed my tickets, and I departed.
